:D ... and Caramel would be Difficult Terrain there.

If we can find caramel on the plane of sugar, then we must also be able to find relatively hot regions of the plane, and other regions of milk on the same plane. If we have sugar and milk, to make caramel be allowed, then I see no reason why this plane should not have honey.

I propose that we may have just founded a Plane wherein there is an actual and very literal Land of Milk and Honey.

Oh, also... I don't think vacuum and radiance can count, since being an element doesn't give us any guarantee that something is a material. And if it's not, then there's no reason to limit it into having a size.

You make caramel by heating a sugar/water mix (the water stops it burning). I don't know what milk has to do with it...

Cultural differences are so strange! That, to me, is syrup. The only way I know of making caramel is by slowly heating sugar until it melts and browns.

Same difference, really. Syrup is more fluid, and the sugar isn't really melting, as far as I know, just soaking into the other ingredients. With Caramel, you boil off the water, which is just there to keep the sugar from scorching.

Well, caramel sauce is made by pouring caramel on heated cream, so maybe there's a version with milk replacing cream?

Sounds tasty, though.

Well Wikipedia says differently, caramel sauce is caramel and caster sugar.

But it looks like milk caramel is milk + caramel.

Well. I went to look up what the heck caster sugar was, and I can safely say I've never seen it in my entire life, so it would seem Wikipedia's region-biased on that one.  :???

Also no, it's not milk + caramel, since they mix perfectly to create a kind of paramedical caramelled milk.

EDIT: WTF spellcheck.

Allow me to explain Caster Sugar.
Sugar comes from plants.
Therefore: it can be made with Minor Creation.

BAM!
Caster Sugar.

Caster sugar is just sugar which has been ground extremely fine, which makes it dissolve much more quickly and easily.  Therefore easier to make caramel with.

You can also make a sort of caramel by melting brown sugar together with butter, but it's quite different (more of a caramel "sauce").

When my wife made some fleur de sel salted caramels (which were to die for, btw), she did end up mixing in some cream near the end IIRC.  The fat in it smoothes out the flavor and texture, makes it glossier.

That would be Butterscotch not Caramel wouldn't it?

Milk Sugar is a sugar --- lactose.
Milk + Heat + mid level Craft/Profession check = Kumis (!!)

Honey + Heat + almost as good a C/P check = Mead

Sugar + Heat + slightly failed C/P check = White Lightning Blindness
... or it might be intentional, so says the over worked "milk"-maid.
 :eh

Sugar = Earth ; Heat = Fire ... The question: is this a Positive element, yes?

Sugar (being plant matter) should contain all elements in some combination shouldn't it?

That's just silly. It comes from the Sugar Mines of Cormyr.
