Hello people.

As of yesterday, I am no longer the Lord of Dis and the bane of my challengers. This challenge is now run by TravelLog. The deal is that now I will help him with technicalities involving The Gates of Hell and I will take part to reviewing characters and any custom abilities, spells and whatnot. However, I will not make any final rulings, instead I will see if the characters are legal or not. Both the challengers and the DM may ask me questions if they wish. Furthermore, I decided not to reveal most of the tricks used by Dispater to the new DM, because I might at some point give this a go myself.

The new Iron Siege can be found here. Play nice with your new DM.

Had a blast for three and a half years. Good luck, folks.

Has anyone ever tried doing this with just skills, I mean, dispater has only like a +122 to sense motive, so +200 or so on bluff, diplomacy and stuff should make you able to tell him that the universe doesn't exist and he should kill himself.

Still needs to find him, although that can be done if you triangulate with some greater teleportation effect and a DC120 survival roll to find a place you've only had the description of.

Well, that let's Mr. Casual Disconcern for the Action Economy find Dispater's Iron Throne. Now I just need to determine if he's there or not (and if he isn't where he is, so I can find that, too).

Who would have given you the description? Good luck finding someone, who has actually seen the place. Far as I am concerned, two creatures have ever set their foot to that place and Dispater sure as hell won't tell about it and I doubt Asmodeus would either.

It's a throne, made of iron, in the iron tower, on the Plane of Dis, where Dispater reigns. Is that not a description?

I could bluff Asmodeus into thinking that I was just a figment of his imagination that he had to tell where dispaters throne-room really was or his mother would never love him. What penalty do I get for that? Around -100? Well, that's just one epic spell set to buff bluff skill.

This is the old thread, by the way.

Good luck contacting Asmodeus. Also, I have some ideas as to why that would not work, but it's all in Asmodeus' sheet, I don't want to spoil it in case someone wants to try this strategy. Just telling it would take me around a second and a half to foil it with Asmodeus.

A silly idea.

Why not Call him (via Epic Spell), then tag him with a Transcend Mortality effect while he's outside, and kick him back into Dis just before the death effect resolve? The killing effect cannot be prevented by any means, and it should fulfil the challenge's goal, if not its spirit.

Has been suggested. Also, you could just dismiss the spell.

Also, please use the new thread, not this one. You can get a link to it from my signature.
