Today I learned that pathfinder snaps Metamagic balance in half.

One thing yet to be mentioned is how Paizo can't remember that Metamagic doesn't actually change spell level, and restricts a lot of stuff by spell level, rather than slot used, leading to easily broken stuff. For instance, Channel the Gift lets a spontaneous caster stack any metamagic he wants onto a spell and still only use its original spell slot, and with Arcane bloodline (naturally or via EH) you can do this to two spells.

Oh God, Channel the Gift is one hell of a nice find. Seriously, I thought that 3rd party free Heighten was pretty darn nice but it turns out it's a trap trying to rebalanced Pathfinder.
