:blush Sorry, just thought of psionics. Anything inherently broken? Anything need fixing?

It depends on what you consider broken.....
At least it has less problems than magic though it is surely possible to break the system with psionics too...

I just want to make some classes more interesting with fewer dead levels and tone down the broken or bent stuff.

The broken parts of psionics are basically those that are drawn from the broken parts of spells. Apart from that, there's the obvious one of forgetting the Erudite exists at the high end and the Divine Mind at the low end (neither have much of an archetype or purpose, so there isn't really a point in re-tiering them).

It would have probably been better to make just one thread to ask for fixes for the classes, rather than one for each. It would have been less confusing, and any responses would take into account previous clarification as to your goals. I didn't know you wanted to avoid dead levels until this one, for example. You probably mentioned it in a thread I didn't see.

Power point recharge tricks are quite powerful and not intended, since they let manifesters nova every encounter.

Psionic artificer is even more powerful than a regular artificer, since dorjes, the psionic equivalent wands, can hold up to 9th level powers, while wands cap at 4th level. Persisting Timeless Body as a psionic artificer is doable, for example.

Thrallherd's main class features is Leadership with expendable followers/cohorts. You can let your followers/cohorts die and the next day you'll have brand new ones. Especially troublesome if you planned on banning Leadership.

That's it, off the top of my head.
Oh, and stinking cloud has to be one of my favorate battlefield spells. Combined with sleet stor, you can shut a group down and keep them shut down, trapped inside a fart. When does that ever get old?

Isn't soulknife a bit weak? And Psychic Warrior?

Psychic warrior is generally fine, although "fine" depends on the rest of the group. Let's just say it can face level appropriate encounters (using CR as a measure) without cheese and always be useful. As for soulknife, a psychic warrior with the Soulbound Weapon ACF should replace it.

My solutions to psionics, which I'll be implementing in my Great Wheel epic campaign setting:
~Can't regain power points once they're spent.  (fixes recharge tricks which encourage nova-ing)
~Action economy breakers can only be used for specific and well-defined purposes. (fixes ridiculous action economy stuff)
~Linked Power, and most else of Complete Psionic, is out, because it's either crappy or broken.

It's begun — my things have overgrown the previous sig.

Psychic Warrior is Tier 3, which is fine, and Soulknife can easily be imitated with an alternate class feature for Psychic Warrior so there's no need to bother with it.

Some more points that need to be dealt with:
-Makig psychic reformation not as spammeable.
-Clarifying how exactly psicrystals work, because right now their rules are pretty unclear and there's plenty of abuse possible thanks to that.
-Geting a mundane way of stoping psionics from hapening besides killing the manifester. A caster that cannot speak and has his hands tied up cannot cast anything unless he prepared something pretty specific beforehand. A psionic character has no such limitations.

But what cool abilities would you give it?

The only thing it really needs is more power points.

Lurk is another low powered Psionic class but Psychic Rogue fills more or less the same slot and is roughly tier3. Still, Lurk is somewhat more flavorful so it might be worth powering it up over just going with the PR.

Yeah, but it's not like that's unique or cool or anything.

Yeah, but it's not like that's unique or cool or anything.

The psiwarrior already has several unique powers it can learn, making it stand from other psionic classes.

The other thing the Psi Warrior could really use is a class specific free (or cost reduced) quicken power effect. I've read a few campaign reports where Psi Warriors had problems compared to martial adepts because they had to spend 2+ rounds buffing at the start of each combat.
