Persistent Harrier is an Immediate Reaction. Which means the triggering action occurs completely before your reaction. What this will mean for you is that the attack hits and you are still knocked prone and dragged into the runes but you can choose where to teleport...prone but atleast not unconscious...not yet hehe.

So you can use the Immediate Reaction and I will alter my post for what occurs afterward. The problem is that the Needlefangs and the Hobgoblin both had move actions left. So you teleporting adjacent to the Hobgoblin may delay the inevitable and put you further away from the party's healer.

So he wouldn't be able to teleport before the runes go off?

Technically, the damage occurs as soon as you contact the runes. But in the interest of keeping you alive a bit longer, the teleport can happen after the hobgoblin's power ends and before the rune damage begins. Did not expect the combo to work that well when I retooled the encounter.

MC, thanks for posting my turn, that is fine.  Looks like we are in trouble already!

I will be on the road for a few more days, but will check in as I can.

no prob Sk4mpE. You'll likely be back by the time your next turn rolls around.

Aurenn, If you are going to use the reaction. Please post it in the game thread and where your character will appear. I will give you the escaping the rune damage but you will appear in the new spot prone still. I will then alter my post for the enemies and then Venn can post for Dunor.

Will do.  I need a few minutes to think it through and I haven't had more than 30 seconds alone today to do it.  I'll get it in there a little later tonight.

The orange one?  That's where I teleported from.

Ah, so the space is open. Not fully useful since I'm prone, apparently, but good to know.

I am going to be on the road most of tomorrow and part of the next day. Wont have much opportunity for internet access since my computer will be packed away in the car. After that I will able to update nightly.

Sorry for dropping off the planet. I had thought time would be available to me during the trip to post but most days I was so exhausted after taking the kids around siney that I just passed out after they went to sleep. I will be back on the road home tomorrow and be back home by late tomorrow night.

Staying at Aurenn's house tonight. I updated my post above Gamesh's recent one in response to Gamesh's reaction.

I believe we are looking for Dunor's turn.

Sorry it took so long. I was undecided on whether I should spend an action point and get a chance at dealing damage to both swarms, but in the end figured it wasn't worth it. Probably didn't hit anyway.

Back from vacation. Will have a post to answer Dunors today. I initially thought DUnor did hit but when I looked up the AC briefly yesterday I found he narrowly misses.

Thanks for Aurenn for hosting my circus of a family for two nights at his house to break up our trip home. Was very much needed respite from the road.  :clap

Where exactly does that put my health?

With my racial that puts me at full health.

Actually, now that I have the numbers in front of me, I think you may be at 26/32 (unless I am way off again, been known to occur).

You started at 32 and took 12 from the Hobgoblin which put you at 20. You used your interrupt so you did not take damage from the floor runes. The swarm did still get to attack but the damage was reduced because of Soffa's mark. So you took another 12 (of the 18 they had) which would put you at 8. Then the 18 of healing from Atanos (plus your Draconic Heritage) puts you at 26.

Looks like I also missed the Swarm Aura attack at the beginning of Dunor's turn but I wont slow the game down any more to roll it. Anyone starting their turn within a square of one of the swarms will end up taking an aura attack from them.
