Healer/support type stuff then blaster type stuff?

No problem Venn. Based on your explanations of both builds I have put some things together you will find useful.

Yeah.  My two main focuses (at least at first level) are healing/other support stuff and then radiant damage zappy rays from my holy symbol.  I went through the guide i used to help build my character but it doesn't list any items below level 4.

So, I've decided to try out the Fighter|Rogue. I've got more character fluff figured out for it, and there should be some interesting roleplaying opportunities available.

That said, do we have anyone trained in Thievery? I could train it if we need someone capable of picking locks. Otherwise, I think I'm more or less done, barring a simple pass to finalize equipment and lock down my other options.

Items I'd like, eventually: Iron Armbands of Power, Rhythm Blade Double Sword, just about any neck slot item (though Frostwolf Pelt is thematic for Dunor; it's not more or less useful than any other item though), Boots of the Fencing Master, Elven Chain Shirt.

Having trouble locating the entry for rhythm blade. Where is it sourced?

It's in the Adventurer's Vault 2, part of the Battle Dancer's Regalia item set. A hidden weapon would also be fine, but the rhythm blade will help keep my defenses up and contribute to being a better off-defender.

Looks like everyone is in order. I woke up late this morning so I will kick off our first in-game post tonight to get us all started. It will be "in media res" and you all will be at the dungeon to get right at it.

To set the stage and give a brief summary; besides Dunor and Thespias, did the ret of you already know each other r were you thrown together in the fight a couple nights previous?

I was prolly thrown in with the rest of them.  Being as my name is "Tulugaq the Rabid" I don't envision lots of people freely approaching me...

Shandien can also be one who was thrown together a few nights ago, quite fitting of his wandering mercenary backstory.

Tanthalus just wants to help people so he could be there for any reason that you'd like.  :p

Awesome.

For Tanthalus, based on his deity you could have been in town for the recent midsummer festival as part of the local temple. The festival of summer was a bust though because it was too damn hot...

Post is up in the ingame thread. Feel free to begin. Feel free to pick a color for your character's speech. I think Theo has blue and Dunor was teal from the prior group.

Whoo! :D

I'll try to keep my posting rate up as much as possible. It's difficult during the daytime while I'm at work, though I do get some occasions. Usually early before work and after work are when I'm most free, of course, and it's likely to be busy at work this week leading up to the national holiday coming up this Friday. Though, I'll luckily be off from work that day. :)

I hear you, yesterday was my organization's fiscal year end and we have a bunch of regulatory changes effective July 1 too so I had a bunch of stuff to do, hence why I was posting so late last night.

I forgot to mention I was moving to stand next to Dunor, and I can't edit the post without it throwing alerts because of my rolls.

I'm thinking we try to get the drop on the creatures in the next room; if we do it right, we might get a surprise round on them. Maybe have one person open the door and have our ranged attackers get hits off on them, while the defenders try to rush in and grab their attention to let everyone else in without as much retaliation. Unless the door is locked,  or only opens from the inside,  in which case we're all gonna look like jackasses. :lol
