"I don't know where they might be after tonight's attack." he answers, "If we find out where they are we will send word to the Tankard."

You all make your way back to the Green Tankard. Everywhere the effects of the attack can be seen along the way. When you reach the street that your fight with the Ogre occured you see many store fronts and the cardhouse still ablaze. Bucket lines wrok to combat the blazes but the buildings will surely be lost without more help.

Everyn steps up to the front of one building summoning arcane power and holding forth his orb. It begins to glow with cold light which flares angrily at the flames. Instant a large area if covered in ice and snuffs out much of the flames in that area as a frozen cloud coalesces. "If any of you have any cold or water magic available to you, perhaps we can help combat the flames. Everyn says. He then enacts a simple cantrip to pick up a bucket of water fill it and also dowse fires.

A odd looking halfling among a pair of two humans come up the street. One of the humans raises his hammer to the sky and calls forth,""O Spirits of the Storms, heed my call! Relieve your clouds, let your rains fall!". Which does not have any discernible effect and he looks around for other ways to help.

The halfling steps up to a large blaze and his eyes cloud over and an unfelt breeze stirs his dreadlocked hair. He brings forth a whirlwind which has an immediate impact on the fire taking away the air it needs to keep burning but throws shards everywhere. luckily no one was nearby. Everyn catches the display and nods his approval at the unique use of more destructive arcane magic.

The last of the group jumps in on the bucket line, and hands Suff'a the oncoming buckets as the come along.

Looking over the newcomers briefly, Söffå turns towards the nearest of the group, "  Thank you; Not the best time for introductions, but you lads look alright to me.  Name is Söffå.  Who might you be?  I wager you have seen a bit of action this night as well, yes?"

The Human looks at Söffå and responds, "I am Dalanath.  My brother died this night."

The burly, redheaded human begins tying a length of rope to his warhammer as he speaks, saying, "Well met, Söffå. I am Dunor. We have indeed seen battle this night, losing several of our trusted friends. However, I am hoping we can manage to save some lives now, so that their sacrifice will not be in vain."

He tugs at the knot to make sure it's tight, and wraps part of the other end of the rope around his dominant arm. His deep, blue eyes look from the hammer up to the top of a nearby building, apparently estimating the distance.

"It is good to know there are others here helping to contain this situation."

The man begins twirling the hammer with one hand while the other holds the slack of the rope.

The dark-skinned halfling looks up at the Eladrin approaching. Having pushed his wrath deep inside of him, barely a hint of his earlier anger shows on his face as he speaks.
"Well met, Everyn Feystar out of Evereska. My name is Thespias Munroe out of Waterdeep, but my friends call me Theo. What my enemies call me I don't know, I tend to not let them finish talking. I appreciate your compliment, my talents are better suited for acting than reacting, destroying rather than rebuilding so to speak, but I will do what I can."

He does a half-hearted wave with his hand, indicating the town.
"These people here need their homes back, everyone needs a shelter from the storm, be it literal or symbolic. Mark my word though, no amount of shelter will help those responsible when I find them. Hopefully, once this is all over I can come back here and create fond memories of this place, of funny stories and situations, of interesting people and exciting adventures. Right now, I've had more excitement that I care for."

The throw is well placed, smashing the stilts from under the barrel. It  topples, and while not completely full of water due to the drought it contains enough to have a considerable effect on the flames below. Cheers go up from the nearby bucket line and a large portion of the fire goes out enough for them to more easily put out the rest.

As you reel your weapon back in and pick it up it is very hot and you nearly burn yourself retrieving it.

Everyn nods at the halfling's words about rebuilding. "These are hardy folk, they came back from the brink after Red Fist War all those years ago, they should be able to return from this as well.". His curiosity piqued by this odd looking fellow, "Most Hin from the north are lighter skinned, were you born in the City of Splendors or do you originally hail from farther south?"

Assisting the townsfolk throughout the evening proves tiring work. The post combat toll on your nerves and the stresses of the night have worn on even the hardiest of your two groups. Eventually, in the waning hours of the night, the fires have been put down or fully consumed their prey and smolder in the darkness. The injured have been made comfortable as possible and most of the dead collected.

Giving a slight smile, Theo replies.
"I do indeed hail further south than Waterdeep, but my origins aren't something I define myself by. I'm a citizen of the world, not any specific place."
-----------
At night:

Thespias does not follow his companions back to their slain friends but rather try and find somewhere to sleep for the night. Knowing that the halfling deals poorly with the death of loved ones, his companions let him be until they all meet up at the town square the following morning.

Dunor somberly returns to his fallen comrades after asking the living ones, "Will you have the others buried, or shall I prepare a proper northern funeral such as I will prepare for Jacopo?

You find the elderly couple along with some other townsfolk who, true to their word, delivered the bodies to the temple of Selune. "We took them to the temple, the Borns brothers here helped carry them. Jalissa was not there when we arrived. We rested them inside and watched over them until this unpleasantness was over." says the old woman. "Perhaps she is there now."

You arrive at the temple and the dark interior is the first indication no one in present inside. Moonlight shines in through the openings in the ceiling and bathe everything in a soft light, including the bodies of your deceased companions and brother. They were lain reverently before the alter and rest in dignified positions with their gear in tact.

Everyn finds a comfortable spot in the stables across from the Green Tankard. Bringing forth magical light to read by he loses himself in study of his spellbook. Satisfied that he is keeping his mind honed, settles into reverie and letting his mind rejuvenate and the stresses of the night leave him.
