"Sounds like a decent place to begin. Perhaps Marsh knows where the Lady may be found this morning." Everyn offers. he closes his book, ceremoniously wrapping it in its silk cover and placing it in his small pack. Rolling his small orb around in his dexterous fingers sits back a little on the bench. "We could also take a better look around the temple. The light of day may be more revealing.

"No doubt this is the talisman of a cleric of Selune; it is old, possibly as old as the temple itself."

Søffå continues:  "From what I know of the battle, a symbol just like this was worn by the Selune cleric who fought with the Heroes of Delimbyr Vale in the War of the Red Fist, now 50 years ago.  Given the apparent allegiance of last evening's marauders to the Fist, I would venture that this is not likely a coincidence."

"Everyn, I agree - I am very much interested in seeing this temple."

Sorry Suffa...Everynas he nods to each in an attempted greetingThe library in the backwoods town is just shite.  In disrepair, unorganized, and of meager size.  I'm Surprised these ne'er do wells can even read.  Needless to say I didn't not find anything on the Red Hand.  Maybe with a little more time I might be able to sort through that mess and find an accurate tome, but for now I'm lost.  You guys find anything?

Søffå gazes at his comrade with the slightest tinge of respect.  "Oh, you know of Norsis?  The legends of this region say many things regarding him; for one, it was he that founded the temple of Selune here in Loudwater, more than 500 years ago.  Also, they tell that he was afflicted with the curse of lycanthropy.  I am not so foolish as to discount these things entirely, but could he really have been a werewolf?"

"In any case, our path appears set - Let's visit the temple, then return to speak to our dear innkeeper."

That would explain why he worshiped the Moonmaiden, and the rumors of his extended life

Everyn adds as he stands to leave, "Norsis, hmm... I have read the name somewhere. It was in a book from a library back in Evereska. The name was mentioned among a group of adventurers in the Dalelands who held off a drow army of undead from the underdark."

Following Dunor and Dalanath back to the temple, you see more people cleaning up after the attack, tending wounded, and a few burying dead. A group of the River Folk have lain one of their clan to rest in one of the skiffs they ply the river in. Each passes saying goodbye and places an object in the skiff.

The temple looks peaceful and quiet from the exterior. Upon entering you can clearly see the signs of struggle revealed more clearly in the daylight.

Søffå enters the temple, and positions himself near the altar and the ransacked room.  He then strains to sense and magical energies that may be in his vicinity.  He then begins to investigate each room in detail, to see if he can find any additional clues; he pays particular attention to the untouched room - Something does not seem right....

Dunor attempts to search the temple more thoroughly, now that he has the aid of the light of day.

Only silence and the sounds of the efforts going on around the town answer Atanos' greeting.

Dalanath is only succeeds in locating the bodies of his three fallen comrades. Temporarily laid to rest on in the temple. In the new light you can see that the townsfolk cleaned the wounds up and most of the blood off but also reveals their deathly pallor.

Dunor takes a closer look around with the daylight streaming through the windows. Not much is different int he new light than it was a few short hours ago. You can tell no one else has been here since you left.

No magic reveals itself to Suff'a's attuned arcane senses.

"Hmm, it seems I can find no more clues. Have you others had more luck? If not, then we may find more answers should we find the priestess I was told about... at least, I assume she must be the priestess here. Her name was... Jalissa? I think that was it," Dunor muses groggily. He did not truly sleep well last night, with so much weighing heavily upon his mind.

You all see that there were signs of a struggle the night before. Things clearly knocked over that should be right. Also someone has ransacked through the one ajoining bed chamber. Robes and other feminine looking clothing have been torn from the wardrobe. Books and papers ripped away from shelves. Anything of any real value does not appear to be present in this room.

"I have not found anything of import.  From the robes on the floor, it appears that there was a woman residing here as priestess, which I would assume is the Jalissa you mention, yes?  Do you think it would also be fair to assume that she was wearing the symbol that was found last evening?"

"If so, I am afraid that something terrible has happened to her."

Søffå makes one last attempt, peering behind the wardrobe and any cabinets, and under the bed, just to confirm that nothing out of the ordinary can be seen.  He also searches the area around the altar, while being extremely careful not to disturb anything nor desecrate the holy temple.   (Trusting that Selune understands his noble intentions and concern for the god's disciple.)  Søffå also looks to see if there are any paintings or texts lying about that might seem out of the ordinary, or that might have belonged to the missing priestess.

"I am at a loss - Unless anyone else has seen different, we may have reached a dead end."

He wonders to himself what this attack means - How is this connected to the theft of the Red Fist standard from the Green Tankard?  Might other connected events have happened last night as well?  It might be time to begin speaking with the right people...
