Maybe we are not looking for the right thing? Maybe we should be looking for some holy symbol of selune that should be in every temple but absent from this one
Rolled 1d20+4 : 3 + 4, total 7

OOC sort of like every catholic church will have a crucifix, tabernacle, advent candle, bible, etc.....

Despite having no formal religious training, Søffå searches his memory to find any useful bit of information regarding the layout and customs for temples of this kind, to see if anything appears to be missing or out of place:

Everyn takes a look around, investigates some of the scrolls and books on the floor. As Atanos makes the suggestion of what else may be missing from the small temple he stands and adds, "Either that or the only thing missing is the clergy. If they had a poor box, that is not something I see about."

"Well, I cannot find anything here that helps our search.  I will take a walk around the premises, to see if there are any clues outside."

Søffå takes one step to the door, then stops and turns back to the group:  "I am not much of a tracker, though - If any of you are skilled in such ways, I would ask for your help."

Having followed the party but staying silent, most likely going through his grieving process on the inside, Theo tries to help searching. He seems distant and to the people that have known him for a while, this is the first time he's been this silent for this long.

Saying his first words for a while, what comes out of Theo's mouth is a sound tinged with apathy.
"Well, this is disheartening"

Several sets of foot prints can be found around what looks to be a pair of foot sized drag marks in the dry grass leading away from the temple. After a few dozen feet away the meet up with a harder road and are not distinguishable.

As you walk the streets moving away from the temple you see a group of the towns guard rounding the corner ahead. Marril at their lead and hobbling along side on his cane, Susteen Urbeeth. Most of the guard look pretty banged up from last night. The small man spots you quickly and points, "Look Captain, we've found them..right?"
You hear Marril say in growing frustration to the limping man on their approach "Acting....Captain...Susteen" but he quickly composes himself and smiles at you all, "Glad we found you and....""Good sirs, it is good that you are still alive and have remained in town." Susteen interrupts, "Remember me right?, I saw most of you at the Tankard last night before all hell broke loose...right? We've been sent to fetch you."
Marril rolls his eyes "Susteen, these men saved my life last night and from what I hear, yours as well. Show a bit more respect.". He turns back to you and says, "Susteen here is an assistant for the town's council. One of the council members sent us to find you and asks that you come and meet with him."

"Marril, well met -  I am glad to see you again, friend."

Søffå turns towards Marril's limping companion.  "Captain Susteen, I presume?  Yes, I remember seeing you with the lady blacksmith - By the window, was it?"

Turing back towards Marril:  "I think we might be agreeable to speak to some of the members of the council.  Pray tell, whom sent you?"

Atanos pulls his sleeves down until they are even with the palm of his hand, followed by his left hand slowly creeping up his chest to close the collar of his shirt.  And seeing how Suffa greeted everyone I will stand ready at his back.  Keeping Suffa between me and the captains gaze.

"Captain? Me right? No no no, I believe you are mistaken right. Marril is now the Captain of Loudwater's guard." Susteen says.
"Acting Captain." Marril says through his teeth. "It's only until Captain Harrowleaf is found." Then answering Suff'a's question. "Councilman Eoffram Troyas is the one whom wishes to speak with you

"Errr... ahhh... yes, right."  Søffå says, the color of his face revealing his embarrassment.  Trying to compose himself, he continues:  "We would be happy to meet with Eoffram Troyas; he is a man of fine reputation.  Do I understand that Captain Harrowleaf is missing?  Not found among the dead?  Has anyone else gone missing?

"Yes, he has not been seen since late yesterday afternoon. While he is gone, Warden Orrena made me the Acting Captain." Marril answers. "We have had reports of several others missing too, I should let the Councilman go into more detail though."

Søffå looks at his companions to see if there are any faces of dissent.  Satisfied that the group has no objections to the summons, he mutters:

"I am afraid of worse news to come; alright, lead on."
