Dalanath keeps a sharp eye out for landmarks shown on the map as he answers the Halfling's questions.  "We are close, it won't be long now as long as we aren't ambushed again..."

Dunor attempts to help Atanos in guiding the party, but his mind remains groggy from yesterday's events. He does not offer much input, and isn't much help.

   The final hours of watch pass along slowly, but uneventfully.  After dawn, Søffå finds a few minutes to re-read an old text he brought along, on the history of the region, while waiting for the others to awaken.  As the sun rises and his companions stir, Søffå places the tome back into his bundle and makes his way to Atanos:  "I recalled that this area here", pointing at the map, "Has had a history of goblin activity, so I checked my history and found two other points on our route, here, and here, where attacks have occurred in the past.  Best we avoid those, as well."

"I see. I'll be glad to leave this road behind." Thespias tries to aid the party in whatever way he can.

Tracking the Goblins Round 3 Results!

Successes = 8
Failures = 1

Skill Challenge Successful!

Leaving your campsite, it's not long before you find you bearings and soon after you begin seeing numerous signs of passage. About an hour more of brisk hiking brings you to a valley in the hills and ruins of a castle and out buildings worn down by the years to mostly low walls and foundations. Many of the tracks and signs of passage you have been seeing head toward the ruins.

Moving toward the ruins "I could see this place when I escaped my captors.  When my sight was unbound we seemed to be bearing toward these ruins."  Baring his teeth a bit  "We will find them soon."

"Be Alert."

Søffå draws his sword and begins to scout the perimeter of the ruins, looking for any sign of recent activity.

Søffå circumvents the ruins and it is not hard to determine that there is quite a bit of recent activity around the ruins. Nearly stepping knee deep into a recently dug hole used for a latrine that someone did not care enough to hit very well.....be sure to clean those boots off now.

From a vantage point on the other side of the ruins, he can spot a semi intact arch attached to a broken hallway which has a dark hole or steps leading down into the ground.

Brandishing his greatclub with some disdain, Gamesh follows Søffås lead.  Carefully avoiding the latrines and what was meant for them he keeps the darkened archway in sight.

"Well, shit."

Wiping his boots as best he can as he goes, Søffå returns to the group to report the passage.

The group is off to one side of the valley just out of sight of the stairs that Søffå and Gamesh found. The faint smell of a defiled outhouse heralds the pair's return to the group.

Seeing the trepidation of his comrades, Søffå frowns.  "Well, I suppose we have come this far; we will be going in, yes?"  Looking at his newest companion, he continues:  "Gamesh, you are not bound to our purpose, but we will be glad to share both the danger and the spoils with you, should you be willing.

Søffå turns back to the group.  "Atanos, Thespias, I think you best stay in the middle of the group, in case we are taken by surprise again.  Dunor, Gamesh, two of us should perhaps take the lead, with the other forming the rearward?  I will myself volunteer for the vanguard, unless there are objections."

The stench of the latrine still lingers slightly.  Søffå looks around to see if there are any signs of clean water nearby...

Dalanath stays near Dunor and Thespias, feeling both amused and somewhat disgruntled that he wasn't even addressed.

"I will accompany you.  I have great need to retrieve my belongings and you are already without your wizard.  I will follow your lead; this place is foreign to me and without my weapon I am sure to be less effective in battle."

"Sounds good to me. Then let's get moving, unless there's something I'm missing? Which I might be, correct me if I'm wrong. I'd rather be wrong than dead."

The halfling draws his dagger and gets ready for more violence.

Moving toward the front of the pack Gamesh nods at Søffå "I'll join you in the lead, human.
