Slightly before Søffå's appearance on the stairs, a subtle grinding noise of stone on stone can be heard as the two braziers begin to move their way across the room slowly.

The right brazier heats up and flares suddenly with a great gout of flames rolls across the space between the two braziers to be caught by the one on the left.

Chamber of Flam Unbound Round 1 Results!

"Huzzah!!!"

"They know we're here, get ready to fight!"

Well there is no reason we can't be civilized I'll got introduce myself and my scythe Atanos moves forward and braces for the charge to come.

Kegt picking his teeth with on dagger upon the sighting of the first intruder. As an Elf joins the human on the stairs the goblin launches his dagger across the room at the new target and races off to the side out of site. Those in the room here the click of a door latch being opened.

Tkanz rushes forward taking cover around the corner of a wall and pokes around firing a small hand crossbow at Dalanath.

Xer mirrors Tkanz and feet quickly flopping across the flagstone floor, takes cover around the corner opposite of his counterpart. Popping around to release a small bolt from his hand crossbow at the scythe wielding Elven Cleric. The quarrel gets stuck in Atanos' leathers but does not penetrate his skin.

The halfling makes it down the ladder with a maneuver somewhere between a daring jump and a foolish step. He shoots a bolt of lightning towards the goblinoids who aren't so quick on their feet.
Bzzzztttt! Zzzztt!
Lightning arches over Dalanath  and Atanos and caresses the first hobgoblin jolting it taught for a moment, before crossing to the hobgoblin next to it and sending it jumping a foot into the air from the shock.

Clearly elated that battle has ensued, Gamesh rushes forward skipping most of the steps on his way down.  Drawing on the rush of battle he snarls at the two hobgoblins he has just landed in front of.  "Come, cowards!  Face me now that I'm not in chains!

Xnes whips his flail at Games using a defensive posture and steps backward and moves around the back of his companion.

Zomb follows up with his own swings of his flail with crushing accuracy and coordinates his moves with Xnes.

As Zomb moves away from the Dragonborn, Gamesh lets his mind slip forward toward his target, smirking as he slides between planes, appearing beside the hobgoblin.

Dalanath quickly moves across the battlefield, pulling out his dagger as he does so.  He gets close to one of the hobgoblins, then tumbles forward so that he is flanking it with Gamesh and then stabs at it, aiming for one of its kidneys. The blade slips easily through the leather armor into the hobgoblin's back. The goblinoid stiffens, it's breath caught for a moment as it arcs it's back in pain. Weakened though it is, it still keeps up the fight.

Slightly before Søffå's appearance on the stairs, a subtle grinding noise of stone on stone can be heard as the two braziers begin to move their way across the room slowly.

Slow to react, Søffå runs after his comrades; once there, he drops his torch at the foot of the stairs and fronts the enemy engaged with Dalanath. Seeing the bolt strike Atanos's armor, Søffå also uses his Aegis to protect his comrades from the crossbow-wielding goblin hiding around the corner.

The right brazier heats up and flares suddenly with a great gout of flames rolls across the space between the two braziers to be caught by the one on the left.

Kegt pushes off from the set of doors, drawing his shortsword, races around to bulk of the fight and comes in hard stabbing away at the lower portions of Gamesh's back putting the Dragonborn into a difficult defensive situation.

Tkanz sees that Gamesh is hard pressed, sensing an easier target takes aim and lets another crossbow bolt fly. The bolt sticking in the dragonborn's patchwork leather armor.
"Od'k dr' 'kub't bnoku'n. N'ubdun' ros ut '' bm'uk' Sinruth!" he says loudly as his reloads the hand crossbow with another bolt.

Xer slides back a bit and aims at the tall swordmage as he rushes into the room and lets his bolt fly, finding a seam in Søffå's leather armor and buries itself painfully. "Dr' gomm dr' udr'nk, ut kuptu' dr' tnukusu!' Xer says with a maniacal high pitched laugh.

As the bolt embeds itself in his armor, Gamesh grunts and immediately slips between planes, appearing behind Tkanz and striking him.

The resident storm sorcerer decides some interior decorating is in order. Goblinoid corpses is really what this room needs.
He advances, spins his hands in an ever quicker rotating motion and hurls a whirlwind that grows in size and intensity towards his enemies.

wooooooooooosh
The spell driven wind whips up a maelstrom of dust and flutters the braziers flames but neither fans them nor snuffs them. Near the eye of the miniature storm has the desired impact on the goblins, tossing them to the ground and spinning them a bit.

Zomb drags his shield arm up and covers himself as the dragonborn leaps over and pummels him with the tree branch.

Xnes quickly gets back to his feet swinging his flail as he does and escapes back from the group on his other side.

"Aaarrrrrgghh!" Zomb cries out as Dalanath's blade slips through his armor. Blood spills freely from the wound when the dagger is ripped out.

Dunor steps up to the enemy, staring him down. "You'll not lay a finger on my friends, do you hear? You lot have caused enough damage this day!"

To emphasize his stance that he and his allies are a force not to be trifled with, he reaches out with his hammer, electrical force extending his reach long enough to strike yet another nearby foe.

Søffå sees an opportunity to lure one of the creatures off of his ally and into the path of the flames.  Proud of this clever idea, he skillfully darts around his foe, only to miss.

   "Whoops!"

Realizing that he is now in the path of the oncoming fireball, Søffå makes another, more desperate attempt; missing again, (and now quite red in the face) he is just able to maneuver his way back out of harms way, for the moment.
