The area burns with bright radiance as a brief flash erupts from Atanos upheld palm and streaks off toward the drakes to the right but they part and the beam of light flies past them.

Unable to move around to a good flanking position without opening himself up to be attacked, Dalanath assumes a defensive position.  He strikes at the drakes and then warily awaits their attack with a couterattack of his own readied.

As Dalanath closes to strike several of the drakes snap at the incoming rogue. Their small jaws do not find a hold though. Dalanath's slim blade dances in but those drakes slip back and the edge chips off a small piece of wall narrowly missing it's intended small target.

The sound of a whip cracking behind the right swarm and a hissed goblin command draws you attention to a crooked hobgoblin in ragged leathers.

Trying to figure out the nature of the runes in the middle of combat could have been overwhelming, but it seems the Halflings electrical attacks are just as spot on as his hurried analysis.

The lightning arcs from your hand and hits one of the small creatures, killing it and as the energy jumps to the next group it hits another and lays it low as well. There are many more still nipping at Dunor and Gamesh.

Gamesh snarls as he rounds on - and misses - the primitive creatures with his club, acid already spraying through the bared teeth of his vicious snarl.

The small creatures deftly move from the way of the branch's arc but they are not so lucky against Gamesh's breath. The acid clings to everything in the area, melting flesh from bone and etching the stone in the spots it touches. A caustic smell fills to room. Several of the small drakes near the front lay dead. More take the fallen's place though and they continue to snap their needle sharp fangs at you, though none seem to find their way through your tough scales.

The acid splashes onto the Hobgoblin behind the swarming drakes. She swears and wipes her face of the spittle revealing pinked burned flesh underneath. Cracking her weapon in you direction whips the needle fang drakes into a frenzy.

Seeing the mass of scales and teeth surge at the group, Søffå drops his torch at the top of the stairs. Blade glinting blue and orange in the light of the fire and glow of the floor and whispering a few syllables in the arcane tongue his blade flashes with some runes. Those same runes appear in the air in front of the pack of drakes to his right, warding his friends from that side.

Then stepping closer to Dunor slips in and sweeps his blade out. A magical force rushes from the arc of the sword to a devastating effect on the Hobgoblin's pets. A number of them fall dead from the attack.

The drakes seem to hold most of their fury back waiting for their master's command.

Nrogut lashes out with her whip, barbs biting deep into Gamesh's legs. She yanks on the whip and he slams onto his back and is dragged into the glow of the runes. "V''t, so b'dk!!" she hisses as the runes suddenly flash an angry blue but the battlemind slips through space and appears not far away from the spot he was being dragged to. The blue flames die away as soon as they began, replaced by the pulsing blue glow.

The drakes nearest to Gamesh leap onto the prone dragonborn biting and slashing. Runes above Gamesh flare from Søffå's earlier protective magics absorb some of the drakes assault.

The thinned group of drakes on the other side of the room leap at Dunor with more ferocity. They leap on his legs, back and cling to his arms, latching their needle sharp teeth; dragging the large human to the ground.

Gamesh, realizing he's falling into a dangerous situation, desperately reaches for the space beside the hobgoblin only to land with a thud right beside her.

Dunor gets up, focusing his attention on the swarm beside him. He knows there are too many of the creatures to do much good attacking any one drake, but simply does his best to beat back as many as he can, futile as it may be. Try as he might, the swarm keeps coming...

Hammer humming through the air and chipping stones from the floor, Dunor fails to strike any significant blow against the drakes dancing around him.

Seeing Gamesh soaked in blood Atanos moves to obstruct the feinds by clossing the gap on the right side of the doorway(the map is hard to read with the runes on the floor so if i get the grid wrong my bad)

The darkes prove fairly difficult to hit but the sweeping scythe does prove to cleave several from the group. As Atanos does this a warm light washes over Gamesh and some of his wounds begin to close.
