Undead Animal Companion
« on: December 27, 2012, 06:12:35 PM »
I swear I've seen something to make this work before, but can't for the life of me find it.

Anyone got a lead? Or am I pulling up wishful memories?  :???

I remember something about a variant of the Blighter doing this, but i can't trace the source. I think it was homebrew...

I can't find anything that does that.  You can have a vermin animal companion.  You can have a fiendish animal companion.  You can have an undead familiar.  You can wild shape into an undead animal.  But it doesn't look like you can have an undead animal companion.

Death Master from the Dragon Magazine Compendium gets an Undead Minion that works a bit like an Animal Companion.

Well... someone needs to homebrew that shit right up then! :P
I don't pee messages into the snow often , but when I do , it's in Cyrillic with Fake Viagra.  Stay frosty my friends.

Well... i used my google-fu for a while and finally found the variant of the Blighter i mentioned before. I apologize in advance for posting an non-RAW compliant source, but this may be a good starting point for a homebrew class, IMHO.
