Is there any way to introduce effective binder level?
« on: March 26, 2013, 01:21:22 AM »
I'm a wizard 2/binder 1/anima mage 10/fatespinner 1. If my EBL was one higher, I'd have a bunch of advantages, but I can't afford to slow down my wizard progression. Is there a way to temporarily improve it or something?

Improved binding?

Quote
Your effective binder level is 2 higher than normal
for the purpose of determining the level of vestige you can
bind. This benefit does not increase your binder level in any
other circumstance.

Also, bloodlines.
Normally, I would be reading this, open the reply box, decide what I had to say didn't need said, and close out. But this is just too ridiculous.

Well, Improved Binding is useful, but only binding purposes, not for the purposes of what your binding abilities do. I don't know anything about bloodlines, though.

Favored Vestige feat gives +1 EBL to one of your binds. If you can work in 2 levels of Chameleon for the floating feat you can change it to which ever vestige you choose to bind for the day. The Soul Lens from the items section improves the DC of your binds by 1, otherwise the Veil of Allure from MiC can improve them by 2.

Unfortunately they didn't stick with 3.5 long enough after binding was introduced to make much more available.

Also completely incorrect.

Bloodlines don't get applied to your character like LA at all. I've got to check leveling up, but I think bloodlines are just something you can get for free because >RAW, lol.
The alternative is you never level up again if you don't go down XP, so I've got to check.
Assume that any rules statements I make are under full RAW.
Common sense, game balance, or an enjoyable experience need not apply.
