Whu? I hope hes being misrepresented here because that seems to be an unreasonable point of view to have as a politician with any support.
Even if it weren't satire, I wouldn't have believed it just because last week he had to deal with that joke one of his aids/supporters told about contraception. It wouldn't surprise me if he believed this to some extent, but even if he did, he's not stupid enough to say something like that out loud.

Sadly, it's a satirical website and not a true quote.  I wish it was, that would be hilarious.
That's really not what's important here, though.  What's important here is that I had to check the comments to confirm that it was, in fact, a satirical website.
Poe's law and all. Once he's said enough crazy, it's hard to filter out his brand of crazy from satire, right?

Not just that. Sometimes they literally copy satire. For example, they're all actually talking about self-deportation, again.

...How does Santorum define mental disorders?

Because I mean, there's a slight case for masculinity and femininity being ubiquitous mental disorders, but the promotion of androgyny doesn't seem like a conservative viewpoint. The fact we have at least two different genders is pretty in line with historical precedent anywhere.

Relevant news:

My favorite dude, Rick Santorum, is against equal rights for women across the board; and it's not just in regards to contraception and child-rearing.  He's against using government funds to provide for the families of single mothers (including widows), he's against the idea of women being employed at all, and he doesn't like the idea of woman going to college and getting educated.

He said all this in a book he wrote in 2005.  And when called out on it, he blames his wife for writing the offending passages.

Stay classy, Rick!

It's CNN, a major American news network.  So, sadly, no.

I'm also not surprised: Santorum always seemed like he'd be more comfortable living in the 1700s.

Maybe it's overly generous to say he thinks being female is a mental disorder...he seems to think far worse of it.

Sooo ... it looks to me like the Repub Convention is where the
real action is gonna be.  Romney will have the insurmountable
lead after Super Tuesday.  Except he won't have the legit 50%+.

The unassigned Delegates will put him over the top,
but they'll bargain loudly for all sorts of concessions.
Like a VP that'll turn out the issue ultra-conservatives.
You know ... a Sarah Palin type without the wack-a-doodle.

Hmm.

Wouldn't that be ironic?

I don't think romney-santorum will happen, but I do think there will be an ultra-conservative wack-a-doodle on the ticket-if nothing else but to balance out Romney's liberal history.  It COuld be a woman again as an attempt by the party to reduce the misogynist air, but if it is it has to be a very smart woman(ruling out sarah palin).  Unfortunately, I'm just not sure the party has any, as the smart women know that the republicans are full of it.

Bachman? Not that I think she's smart, but she was in the primaries not that long ago. Also, enough time has passed that people might have forgotten some of her crazy.

Yep, I hope they all stay in the race and continue to split the votes and delegates. :)

A brokered convention will be our playground.  "Our" of course being the deluge of RP supporters actually getting involved inside the party politics and becoming delegates and voting our people through the convention levels all the way to National  :D

She's quitting though, or at least calling it quits with congress.  But they hate her so much I doubt she'd get a shot at VP
