Oh, tons.  Mule's Enlightenment is a godsend (1 hr/lvl personal buff, gain one feat of your choice, a +20 insight bonus to one skill of your choice, and +6 will saves), as is Holy Defense (+10 Deflection bonus to AC, -4 hide, for 1 hr/lvl).  Favorable Sacrifice is insanely good but only if you ignore material components (high SR, Dr 20/Magic, Resist all elemental damage 20, 1 hr/lvl).  Lahm's Finger Darts is almost a guaranteed kill shot against many enemies such as dragons (5d4 Dex damage, SR yes, no save, but you take 5 Str damage when you cast it).  Stone Metamorphosis lets you turn any one kind of stone into any other... check Underdark Handbook for a huge number of options that you can combine with Wall of Stone and either Fabricate or Unseen Crafter to have almost anything you want (Elukian Clay, Slickstone, rocks that glow any amount you want, Photostatic Rock, etc).  Persistent Consumptive Field is of course incredible too.  Honestly, there's a ton... take a look at the spells on that character sheet, I didn't pick any that were useless.  They just require some creativity.

I think you can get to be a tainted sorcerer (not scholar) while actually being good. Since taint is already a houserule suggested by WotC, why not go a little further.
Quote from: SRD
Of course, you may choose for evil creatures to become tainted by good. You can create sacred places and objects in your campaign that taint evil characters as well. You could say that creatures with the good subtype are immune to the effects of taint in such sacred places, but those sacred places would rot away creatures of the evil subtype.
You can get an evil subtype through SS ritual and still be of good alignment.

I'm playing an Archivist right now... here's some of my spells (also my spells to get list, but this is actually missing my go to spells because they're harder to copy and paste):
Now I have to look through ALL of them  :)

Could someone provide me with some uses of a moment ago? I just can't think of anything uber but something tells me that there are such uses.

Jaron, where are half of these spells coming from? I've never heard of some of them. Parboil? Clothier's Closet?Witness to the True? Many, many more...

Check the complete list of spells thread that's currently on these boards ( http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?topic=9784.0 ).  There's some great stuff in there.  I'm actually working on an improved database that uses that list, and in the process I found a ton of great stuff.

I'm going through that uber spell compendium, thus my lack of posts.

Heighten it, and it'll apply to all but L9 spells :) (would work really well with Favorable Sacrifice for one)

A Moment Ago doesn't need to be heightened... that list doesn't show it, but it's [Scalable] which means you can basically auto heighten it.  Just cast it with Permanency for an obvious powerful use.

How do you know which spells you can cast with Permanency? Also, based on the text, I don't see how A Moment Ago is scaleable. It just says any spell cast in the previous round that is 1 level lower, but this spell is Level 1. *lost*

In the book (not the PDF) it's got the Scalable subtype.

And you can only know what spells can be made permanent by looking in PHB1 or at specific books that say as much (Savage Species has a list, for example).

So, Player's Guide to the Sovereign Lands has a list of it's spells that are able to be made permanent? And should that spell have the Scaleable subtype written in your allspells.txt?

I'm not sure any in there are able to be made permanent.  The point was to use A Moment Ago every time you make something permanent so you get two permanent spells instead.

JaronK,

Could you please copy in the Scalable subtype for me? I'd like to read what it says. I cannot buy any more books at this time.

It's kinda long.  But from Player's Guide to the Sovereign Land page 205 we get:

"Scalable Spells:  In the listing of new spells below, you may notice that some spells (such as end) include an extra note that this particular spell is scalable.  These scalable spells allow the caster to increase the relative power level of either that particular spell or another (see each scalable spell's text for details), making them much more effective.  Once a spellcaster knows this spell, she may use any spell slot available to her to cast it.  Scalable spells must be prepared at the desired level the spell would be cast from."

From there it goes on to give examples that clarify that a scalable spell cast in a 5th level spell slot is, for all purposes, a 5th level spell, for example.  But that's a few paragraphs and I don't want to write it all out!

'Tis a shame that there are only 6 scalable spells in that book.

A Moment Ago, End, Graced by the Saints, Spellscatter, Stupor, and Summon Fey. The first being the best of the lot.
