If you mean the one out of the book Dragon Magic, then no, it's not good. If you go into it from psychic warrior, then it's a decent psionic gish PrC (specializing in your claw/tail attacks from the diamond dragon), but if manifesting is your primary shtick, then stay far away. There is no good reason to miss two manifester levels for some abilities that eat up the points you would normally be spending on your manifesting.

Of course there's always the classic Anarchic Initiate. Really quite hard to beat.

Isnt that like the psions version of a wild mage? which you need the overpower feat to pull off ?

Also I got a question about metapower feats, I can Empower a power with a +2 Adjustment but which is better to spend all your points to augment a power or is it better to Augment up to say 7th level spells then Metapower the remainder 2? or is it like a wizard ? you can augment and Metapower and they are essentially seperate much like a wizards metamagic and the d6/level thing?

If Untapped Potential is an allowed source, Energist is an interesting option for a kineticist.

Echoing Nytemare

... carnivore might (still) have a build in his compilation thread.

Dragonwrought Kobold (sans cheese) with Alter Self and / or
Metamorph and Metamorphic Transfer feat.  Fester build.
No really I'm a dragon.

Half Dragon template + otherwise standard PsyWar build.

:-\ ... or you can go low Tier 3-ish and ignore normal Psion conventions.
Psion 5 / DiDragon 10 / X 5 emphasizing the dragony stuff, no psicrystal etc
Psion that tries to be the party healer (ugly but still).

You can do it, if you don't mind the results ahead of time.
