Level 8 Lock

Trying to min/max a level 8 lock.  My only restrictions are, no race with a negative ECL, no tome of battle(read no vow of poverty or ridiculous damage boosts), and no item may exceed 1/3 of my total starting gold, (9k or less per item) and no homebrew stuff.  Kind of on short notice would like to play with this today.  i would also like a level break down of what I need to take and when.

... level 8 lock? I'm curious as to what, exactly, you mean. My first thought on seeing this was the thing that keeps doors shut.

if  you're talking about warlock, I suggest the following:
Warlock 7 / Mind Bender 1
Stats, 1 = highest, 6 = lowest;
Charisma 1 (+2 level ups), Dex 2, Int 3, Con 4, Str 5, Wis 6
take 2 flaws from Unearthed Arcana, and play human
Feats, flaw- Point Blank Shot, flaw- Precise Shot, 1st- Supernatural Transformation (eldritch blast), human- Improved Initiative, 3rd- , 6th- Ability Focus (charm), (at 9th when you get there, take Mindsight (lords of madness))
Invocations Known- See the Unseen, Dark One's Own Luck, Beguiling Influence, Charm, Fell Flight
Equipment- Chasuble of Fel Power (8k), Mithral Chain Shirt +1 (2.1k), Spiked Gauntlet +1 of Warning (8.305k), Cloak of Resistance +2 (4k), Ring of Protection +1 (2k), 2,595gp left

The exoticist fighter variant (Dragon 310, p35) gives you proficiency with the spiked chain with no feat cost.  That'd be a good 2-level dip. 

Goliath barbarian (Races of Stone, p150) gives you large size when raging.  With the wolf totem barbarian variant (Unearthed Arcana, p49) gives you improved trip at 2nd level without needing the prerequisites.
