A thread to do out of character stuff, and to ask charbuilding questions and the like

So, the current reactions to my bard's Blue Oyster Cult-centric play list:

"That's so friggin' Dark Sun it hurts. Bravo."
"That's bad and you should feel bad. XD"
"Isn't Dark Sun the one with all the desert?"
"That's dumb. There's nothing from Cultosaurus Erectus on there."

So, debating whether I now have time for this, since I'm running two campaigns and doing a lot of content creation >:(

If I do, I'm definitely going to need some help with char creation, mostly around equipment.

Since I generally don't post too often, i'm sure you've got time, and I could totally help you. What character type were you looking at?

Psion, probably. Either that or wizard. One of the dark sun classics in either case. Need to look at the PrC lists to see where I'm going.

I think I'll just make a straight Warlock, to be honest. I will be full of utility and fun!

Edit: Wait, do Warlocks preserve/ defile? I can't remember if SLA's affect it.

Edit, The Sequel: Maybe Warlock into Binder 1 / Hellfire Warlock....

Anyone object to me heading down the Psion/Thrallherd route?

Warlocks have a connection to one of the infinite energy sources- the Grey, the Black, or the Cerulean Storm.

A bit of an objection, yeah. What do you plan to do with them?

Yep. He looks fine, so far. Any thoughts you wanted to bring up?

Nit really, I'm leaning towards him being a Tyr native, but can spy in Dragi, since the are Aztec-like from what I've seen

Isn't it a bit hard to get a hold of magic items in Dark Sun?

Sure, but Psionic items are another story entirely. Not to mention 3.5 falling apart if you don't get your buff items

I would think, as long as they aren't strange ones, most items are findable

Feeling crunch time for Fanime + Finals (don't like double header), but I'll throw up a crunch-sheet at least, even if I'm missing a little bit of the fluff.

No problem man. Finals is tough on all of us.
