I had my first Session with this character this weekend and it worked out amazingly... I nearly killed a dragon in a single attack with my claws. The other two party members teamed up to throw me at the dragon and I used that to make a charge attack at it with my eldritch claws and dropped it from full down to 13 health in that one attack action. It was marvelous. I also went on a rampage in Kitty form just shredding enemies as a tiny little harmless looking kittycat.
We were sent into a battle royal scenario at the start and I spent the better part of the first session in my kitty form, pretending to be one of the other two party members familiar. Which was pretty humorous since I'm the only "caster" in the party. I used a few of my invocations, spell-like abilities, and psi-like abilities to make one of the other party members look like they were the spellcaster. I only resumed my humanoid form when we were left with only the dragon to deal with. Kitty claws just don't deal enough damage to take down a Dragon, Eldritch Claws were required at that point.
I had a lot of fun bringing back dead fighters with The Dead Walk, specifically picking those killed by other fighters and telling them to kill the guy who killed them. For more than half the fight the party sat down and played cards in the middle of the arena... then did so again when there were only a few enemies left. When it was just the Dragon and 1 other guy I bluffed the other guy into thinking the battle was over, we were told "the 5 left standing will be selected" and at that point there were only 5 left, just so our Tank could attack him against his flat-foot AC, promptly slicing the guy in half.
You rarely get to have battles like that when playing Good aligned characters... Which is honestly a bit odd... I mean you'd think the bad guys would send hordes of minions at you... They don't seem to have much issue sending hordes of minions at other evil characters after all... Of course Evil characters get far more powerful buffs and bonuses though... although I think thats because the intent is for the DM to use those feats, spells, and classes to create truly powerful villains for the PCs to fight and feel as if they are on different power levels even if they are actually the same level.
I ended up changing a little bit of my build before the game started, ended up with the following
Battle Dancer:1/Fighter:2/Worlock:6/Hellfire Warlock:1
Decided that Demonbinder was not worth the investment, and also picked up Practiced Invoker to close up the skipped Invoker levels caused by Battle Dancer & Fighter. Took Fighter purely for the bonus feats, and the slight BAB boost.
