It had a lot of error messages after I opened the zip, so we should still await cap's efforts.  I just pursued a stopgap in case his copy got lost or wasn't fixable.

Sigh. Farewell dndtools, my long trusted friend.

I shall miss the simplicity and speed of finding the feat I'm looking for, complete with source to the book it is from. I shall miss being able see what feats another feat is prerequisite for.
Without you, building my characters shall be ever much more complicated.

Best Regards
Yirrare

Still find myself looking at the cached pages constantly (like when a player asks what their own feat does), hopefully my imperfect copy and that will tide me over for a while

Looks like this is a funny functional copy of the website, except for the search options.  Someone can probably start working on getting it back online sometime.

My android's dnd conpendium can't read the sqlite (or the zip) file either. Maybe it has something to do with the android version? The play store page says it was "now availble for android 2.2" and my version is 4.3.

I'll test it later, but maybe a combination of the sqlite database and an sqlite database reader can be an alternative for PCs.
(we shouldn't let a resource like this die)

This is gonna piss my players off... combing through individual books is such a table time killer

Guess I'll need to make sure everyone has a copy of the EVD, should fill some of the gaps

Enjoy.

UPDATE:

Oh, notice someone said errors. Do you want it as a Disk image or Zip file instead?
Did you try UnRarX?

Any tips for making searches easier with the site-rip?  They used custom Google searches so all I'm pulling up are the old, dead links online.

Find a way to rehost it?

Actually, I plan on making it into a D&D tools/EVD hybrid someday. Any way to give it an internal search engine?

Also do not discuss dndtools on the giantitp forum or you can get banned right now.

So in other words, it's GitP. Go it.  :P

Also, awesome for posting the links. I'll snag them when I get home and let you know if I had any problems.

Yeah, see, that right there is one of the reasons i don't visit their forums anymore.

I only go back there for OOT, and that's about it.

:tongue ... It's not as if all those 1000+ feats or 5/10 Caster PrCs that nobody uses, were gonna somehow derail 5e.

Mine is working just fine, though. Maybe you mistyped the dropbox link? Did you use the native import function or paste the file into the app?

Edit: Wait, nvm guys, I figured it out.  :tongue All hail to the Internet Wayback  Machine
Just checked it -- slow as shit, and the filters don't work.  But otherwise, good-to-go.

I meant that I figured out how to download the app and import the database from the cached copy, actually. Oh well, looks like it doesn't matter any more anyway. Thanks to the kind anon.
