Quick Casting of Unhallow?

Is there a way to cast the spell Unhallow quicker than 24 hours? Anything shorter is fine. I have to cast it silently during a funeral as well.

The Rapid Spell metamagic feat (EDIT: in Complete Divine) will reduce the casting time to 1 hour. The quickest way to get it on the fly is probably to ask for a custom metamagic rod of it or something. To cast it silently, you can also use a metamagic rod (Silent Spell).

I'm good with Rapid Spell and using a Silent metamagic rod. The adventure I'm going to be running isn't very good at telling you how the cleric manages to finish the unhallow spell during a funeral when he hasn't been there for 24 hours, but rather maybe 20 minutes. As well, he's not supposed to be heard by anyone because it's silenced, and he's an 11th level cleric. The feats are given, but he's missing one for the HD he's got, and he's not carrying a rod. You're just supposed to accept that he doesn't have the feats, but was able to do everything two spell levels higher for free, and in less than the 24 hours, surrounded by dozens of people.

Sounds like a poorly designed adventure to me.  They were too lazy to build the guy correctly or even just hand-wave it with a custom one-shot item.

Actually, that might work too so I don't have to worry about the PCs getting too much wealth out of the deal. Although, I don't recall any rules for metamagic feats.

There probably aren't any hard and fast rules for making items using metamagics, but I'd just suggest basing it on the actual spell level required to cast the modified version.  And don't allow any effects that would reduce the amount a metamagic feat would adjust the spell level, to cheese the price lower.
