Figuring out Pathfinder Gestalt
« on: February 11, 2016, 01:42:08 PM »
So, I have plenty of experience doing nasty thing in 3.5, and I've been hesitant to get in to Pathfinder. But a friend is hosting a Gestalt game and those are hard to come by, so I couldn't resist.

I'm playing a Fighter//Cleric at the moment and grabbed mainly spell that seemed unchanged from 3.5 (Divine Favor, for example). Right now, I'm not doing to much outside of being a slightly buffer Fighter with a utility spell here or there, and I feel like my build lacks directions outside of 'keep picking spells and hold out until I get Righteous Might.'

Ideas for for someone unknowledgeable of the system's nuances?

EDIT: I only used the Core book plus Ultimate Combat and Magic. I want to increase my damage output but there doesn't seem to be much to do after taking Power Attack.

I think you can build a Cleric Archer+
on the one side, and have the pile of
Fighter feats on the other to handle
a couple of soup-ups especially if
stuck in melee.  You still get to be
a full on Cleric while you're at it.

There are Pathfinder guides on the
handbooks board (one over from here).

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ ... should
expand your options exponentially.

The PF non-C.O. guys liked getting all
those extra Fighter feats when gestalting.
Idk wtf this means.  It is a resource tho'
usable in whatever fashion.

I was looking to beat people up with a big stick, ideally. My main query is a lack of options beyond Power Attack, in feats.

THANKS. That two handed archetype should do fine.

Which Cleric domains did you go for? Some are actually pretty nice in PF, and give a good bit of utility for a Fighter. They're not as featastic as 3.5e, but there's lots of nice little boosts.

What's your stat array look like? And what race are you playing?

There's quite a few statty domain things, and plenty of racial archetypes that are quite good. I'm new to PF myself, but there's some interesting interactions available if you look closely enough. Check out the "Interesting Finds in PF" thread for a few.
