I agree, after rereading the text. :) sorry about that.

The Geomancer PrC is amazing!

Edit: it appears you can add your caster levels together to calculate the spell's power, and multiple ability modifiers for the spell's DC (even the same ability mod multiple times)

I don't think you can accumulate them, but rather it's an either/or decision.

Is there a way we could bring Ardent and Magic mantle to this?

Trying to think of any possible bonus to a shadowcaster...
Possibly by casting a spell from a shadowcaster slot and then changing it to be not a shadowcaster spell it might not count against your shadowcaster uses/day... Ill have to check my books when I get home.

Arcane xp cost?
I was sure I saw a reference to that somewhere in this thread. Seems I was mistaken, editing that out of my post. Thanks.

Maybe you can turn your spells into Supernatural Abilities?

Geomancer + Battle Blessing + RKV?  :smirk
I appreciate the logical, cool-headed responses and the lack of profanity displayed by our community.

Takes a while to get going.  You can quicken level 9 spells at what, level 22? Give or take.

Could you use features on spells like elemental savant's focus (fire) to increase non-fire spells? Since its mixing features to gain the best spell

Unless elemental savant has an ability that makes all thier spells have the fire subtype, I would have to say no. It specifically says spellcasting parameters of spellcasting classes not of spells themselves.

At work atm, ill try to explain that better later.

My question is though, can anyone see a reason to use this advancing a divine casting class? Except possibly item creation.

Speaking of item creation... If as per my above build with the one level of cleric, could I craft a wizard item and call it a cleric spell to have a caster level of one and thus drastically reduce the cost?
Something Funny?

How is that very different than changing a sorcerer spell to a paladin spell for Battle Blessing, since Sor/Wiz would be one of the parameters of the spell, albiet a one that is easily changed

Because [fire] is not a class-based parameter, it is a parameter of the spell itself. Geometer specifically calls out that the parameter must be based on your class. This means it's okay to treat an arcane spell as if it were being cast by a cleric (divine, no ASF chance, DMM applicable) but it's not okay to cast a spell that is not [fire] as if it were, or to cast a Necromancy spell as if it were a Conjuration (i.e. apply Spell Focus: Conjuration).

The school and any descriptors attached to a spell is a parameter of the spell, not of any class.
