Sorcerer Only Spell Handbook?
« on: May 04, 2012, 01:25:25 PM »
I've been looking through my books lately and ther'es a huge amount of sorcerer only spells.  Would anybody be interested in a listing of these, along with sources, uses, how great they are, and whatnot?  I feel that the sorcerer only spells ALMOST make up for their being gimped in compared to wizards.

Here's a couple I've encountered:

From Dragon Magic:
Magic of the Dragonheart (Level 2, Transmutation)
Primal Hunter (Level 2, Transmutation, better on a wand)
Primal Instinct (Level 3, Transmutation, better on a wand)
Primal Senses (Level 4, Transmutation, better on a wand)
Undying Vigor of the Dragonlords (Level 5 , Conjuration (Healing)!)
Primal Speed (Level 6, Transmutation)
Aspect of the Platinum Dragon (Level , 7, Transmutation)
Aspect of the Chromatic Dragon (Level 8, Transmutation)

From Races of the Dragon:

(Note: After I started typing this out, I realized that the formatting used in the previous section would be too much work for a lot of the other sections, therefore I'm changing it up)

Level 1:
Ghostly Tail
Wings of Bounding
Wings of Swift Flying

Level 2:
Essence of the Dragon
Tail Slap
Wings of Cover

Level 4:
Hoard LIfe
Tail Sweep
Wall of Scales
Wings of flurry

Level 5:
Manifest Dragon Heritage

Level 8:
Manifest Dragon Heritage, Greater

Complete Mage:

Level 5:
Arcane Fusion

Level 8:
Arcane Fusion, Greater

Some very nice spells in here, and I've only browsed through a couple books.  I know there are some Sorcerer only spells in Dragons of Faerun, the Draconomicon, Spell Conpendium, etc.  Would anyone be interested in this?

I'd also be interested in the spells that give extra boosts for Sorcerers over other spellcasters. (Or am I thinking of the sorcerer-only spells that give extra boosts for being dragonblooded?)

Thanks for this.  Major help :)

I'll take this as a sign there is interest.  I'll look through my sourcebooks later today.

I think in Dragons of Eberron (or is that Dragons of Fauren?) there are some Dragon only spells (or was it they were only applicable to Dragons? Very fuzzy on them), which are TECHNICALLY Sorcerer only.

Ensure you add spaces so people can easily read what level spells are in what category.  (One big block o' text is hard to read!)
