I will say that I might have considered $50 for the entire core set plus any other reprintings that might happen further down the line.

$35 at Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Dungeons-Dragons-Players-Handbook/dp/0786962461/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1344610910&sr=8-7&keywords=3.5+players+handbook

$104 for all three.  The original 3 were $90 for all three.  Inflation sucks, doesn't it?
(Though I will grant you that they don't have near the creative process production costs that they did the first time around).

Aww, and I thought they would make nice covers. These are just more boring versions of the originals. Shame.

Agreed. Though I will likely buy the lot of them. Errata is nice, and I do need new copies.

I've returned to the boards just to check what the core reprintings have changed. The only answers that I'm getting are based on these posts that I've quoted. Now that I think it, the boring comment was made on the covers vs. content which tells me even less. I cannot find any other threads talking about the core reprintings. So, what's in the core reprintings?
What? NiteCyper's post is evolving!

Exactly what WotC said it would be. The only change is the current errata.

Oh screw that.

They want my money? Here's how to get it.

3.6 Rules - All the rules DMG, PHB, PHBII, etc... EV-REE-THING. But not the classes or PrC. That's for...
3.6 Classes - All the classes, All the PrCs. All the alternate levels. All the varient classes. All of it.
3.6 Monsters - ALL THE MONSTERS. All of them. Everywhere. Every. Single. Monster.
3.6 Feats - All the feats.
3.6 Spells - All the spells.
3.6 Items - Everything. Every magic item. Every sword. Ever mundane Item. Every toothpick. Every metal.

Call it The Encyclopedia Vinculum Draconis: A six volume set of everything 3.5, with all the corrections, FAQs, Updates, What not. Charge 199.95, and I'll buy it tomorrow.

Ya know what, I think I finally have my next project after I finish up The Spellbook Handbook.
If you have questions about 3.5 D&D, you might want to look at the:
Encyclopedia Vinculum Draconis

They're asking $150 for a reprint of the 3 core books.  I'd expect they'd want waaayyyyy more than $199 for the Encyclopedia Vinculum Draconis.  But I'm with you - I'd love to have everything together.

Did they change it, or is this just standard snark?

Oh they are out now?

I'm not saying I'd like a PM with certain Adobe links in it, but I'm not saying I wouldn't like one either...

Yes!  My group is missing this one, and it's been tagged "buy on sight" for the last 3 years now.  Hopefully this is the real thing, not just Amazon guessing.
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

...and give Monks proficiency with unarmed strike.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the rules as intended is that everybody is proficient with unarmed strike, or more accurately that unarmed strike does not require a proficiency.

Possibly, but that is not what the rules actually state

I wish they didn't look so ugly. The whole shininess thing is really offsetting.
