Well, I'm taking spectra, not images, so it won't be too interesting unless you like to look at emission lines from planetary nebulae

I'd have to be very far away, since before that time the Earth will have been swallowed by the Sun's Red Giant phase, which will have a stellar atmosphere that extends farther than 1 AU...

Remotely from NYC.  I will likely, however, be heading to Chile to observe on a telescope for about a week, in early March.

Nice, when I was in high school I was extremely interested in Astronomy and Astrophysics,but I chose Geology as my field of interest,still of course I try to keep up with the new discoveries in astronomy  but I dedicate signifacant less time that when I was younger......

On another note,I learned today that I may be considered for a position  in United Arabic Emirates....
Pros:Good Salary and going away from my country......

The former is much easier to do... but my actual suggestion is to colonize a lot of other worlds.

i say you gotta start w/ ejecting earth from its orbit and developing a non solar environment. then once your out of the solar system you can try to work on the colonization thing.

...why?  Why would you do it that way?  First of all, it'll be >4 Gyear before the Sun causes us any problems, so we have a long time to develop a plan.  Second, definitely figure out the non-solar environment before you go about trying to move the Earth at all.  Third, it's much easier to move humans (who are very very light) than it is to move a planet (which is very very heavy).  Sure, if you have a million years to work with you can move the Earth in small increments, but the Sun's gravitation well is relatively so deep that the amount of energy needed to move the Earth out of the solar system entirely is just ridiculous.  Better and more efficient to spread humanity elsewhere.

Of course it is entirely possible that since this will happen in over 4 billion years that humanity if it still exists will have the technology to do whatever it desires in this matter.......

True... except that the environment isn't contained, and you could have much more efficient transports.

This thread is the first time I've ever heard this idea, but honestly it has a lot of problems, the very first being that the sun won't have a significant iron core.  You only get an iron core for a star with >8 M_sol, since it has to start burning carbon, and the sun isn't big enough to do that.
