Changing "Alignment - always neutral" from race?
« on: August 03, 2012, 05:23:18 PM »
Even though exceptions are ok by the rules, my DM is somehow offended by it and I want to prevent discussions. Does anyone have any idea how to change the alignment line in my stat block?
I only know the ritual from Savage Species for 56k gp, but I'm sure you can do better than that (build is wizard 12, so plz no level adjustment)

There are easy ways to change your alignment in-game.  Atonement, or an Emissary of Barachiel.

Start as Neutral, but play as whatever you want. The GM will change your alignment accordingly.

There are templates that can change it but I am not sure you want tone paying like 4 LA for an alignment change. Would just direct the DM to something like the succubus paladin or the evil angel in elder evils

I haven't really looked at them, but there is redemption stuff in BOED.

What race are you playing, and why do you want to change it from neutral?

I intend to play a LG Beguiler (the race from Shining South).

They are not generally suitable for player use (cohort LA and advancement by HD rather than class) but that generally does not stop people. In any case http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fc/20050824a should help your argument.
