Actually I was thinking a con artist who Bluffs people into thinking he's an excellent swordsman.

I already wrote that discipline. :P

Nearing the end of the early version of the thing that's been living in my head rent-free for a while now. A few more high level abilities, some ACFs and feats, and a lot of ability text, and I'll be able to put it up.

Working title is the Gambler, but that is really an awfully generic name and if anyone has an alternative based on that (admittedly very small) tidbit, I would love to hear it.

So basically the  stage-fighting swashbuckler?
Everything is edible. Just that there are things only edible once per lifetime.
It's a god-eat-god world.

Procrastination is the thief of time; Year after year it steals, till all are fled,
And to the mercies of a moment leaves; The vast concerns of an eternal scene.

I was thinking more Danny Kaye from the duel scene in The Court Jester.

I'm thinking less "joke" and more "silly, but actually playable".

Other than my current project over on Giantitp? (Which I really should port to here... But whatever!)

A little bit of homebrew for Spellshaping, since I seem to be the guy who has ideas for lesser Circles that need fleshing out, maybe a Base Class to compete with my current project (Read: Monster of the Week- The Base Class), and about half of an idea for a Discipline.

....

Oh, hai.

I got multiple things, one is the War-Frenzy with Agita, which is currently stalled for lack of commenting (hard to get the motivation to do more material without).

And in the back end, working on a campaign setting for fun. But it involves a TON of new mechanics, so it'd be a long long time before its fit for view yet.
We were working on another ToB discipline or three, but that kind of got dropped under the rug because we accidentally a magic system campaign setting d20 system.
hmm hey what's this

I'm currently writing up a Pyromancer that isn't point-based, and that doesn't just steal from some magic system (OK, I lie, it uses Eldritch Essences, and you can get into things that Eldritch Blast would let you qualify for.)

Because I hate how repetitious it gets when all pyromaniacs are forced to play either something that just lights things on fire and has no flexibility, or they are vancian, and thus uninteresting to me.

Interesting. So thematically you're working off a dualistic system with this oblivion-infinity continuum? That's pretty damn cool.

Essentially.
The dualism is crossed over itself to create a rule of four. It is then applied again to make a rule of eight as well.

Because I hate how repetitious it gets when all pyromaniacs are forced to play either something that just lights things on fire and has no flexibility, or they are vancian, and thus uninteresting to me.

More or less the exact way that I started down the path that led to spellshaping.  I hope you're ready to never be able to focus on anything else for the next two years.

Meanwhile, on thread topic, I appear to have fallen into full-on revision mode and am cleaning up a lot of the structure and flavor of the first half of spellshaping.  Soon--too soon, if you ask me--I'm actually going to have to look at the circles and revise formulae.  All 336 of them.  Oh, and I should probably fix some of the discrepancies between some of the spellshape attacks.  Fortunately, I don't think I need to revise any of the incantations.

Then, I have over twenty prestige classes to review, edit, and prune...

I'm suddenly very uncertain as to whether I'm actually going to find the time to write up that contest entry.  Sadness.
“Hast thou not felt in forest gloom, as gloaming falls on dark-some dells, when comes a whisper, hum and hiss; savage growling sounds a-near, dazzling flashes around thee flicker, whirring waxes and fills thine ears: has thou not felt then grisly horrors that grip thee and hold thee?”

Take a break from spellshaping and write the entry.  No one will be mad, I promise!!

...so, Tree Stride? :P

I might take a break from some other things to cook up an entry myself. Not for entering, of course. I'm running the damn thing, I'm not going to enter my own work. Simply because the prompt offers a lot of flexibility.
