How can I get +33 to UMD?

I am a Wizard 2/Binder 1/Anima Mage 10/Fatespinner 1. I have a bard scroll with a CL of 14. I need to use this scroll. I have put one point in UMD for the sole purpose of using this scroll, so yes, it is already trained. I have only 10 charisma, so I have an effective skill check of +1.

I do not have any useful spells for increasing skill checks, but I do have access to a level 14 druid and an NPC level 17 cleric. I know of no spells they have to grant that much +skill, but I bet something exists. Can anyone help me out here?

turns out that you only need a 3rd level cleric to help you out. (hell, a potion would only be 300gp)

Do you have to use it yourself, or can the cleric use it for you?  Guidance of the Avatar + Divine Insight gets said cleric a result of 35 with no ranks and 10 Cha.

First of all, both of the other casters and yourself have many means of having you gain +4 enhancement to Charisma. At least do that. If not just loading up on everything you can from here.

Prayer grants + 1 Luck, and Greater Heroism grants +4 morale. Otherwise, if you can get the cleric to pass you personal spells of his somehow (spell storage methods are many, but even a scroll works) of Divine Insight, then that's a pretty decent boost too. Moment of Prescience, if he can do that for you, would be awesome, but that'd be a bit harder to manage a spell storage transfer to you.

Or, if you can talk the cleric into doing spell storage on a 5th level spell for you (Glyph Seal, Delicate Disk... a Scroll, or whatever else he can do), to let you cast a personal spell of his, you can just have him pass you Surge of Fortune (CC p128-129). it grants a +2 luck bonus to pretty much everything you do, and it can be discharged to just auto-roll a 20.

Combine that with the suggestions above (a scroll would be cheaper than a potion, but other spell storing methods would be better for everyone, glyph seals and delicate disks are always a favorite) for Guidance of the Avatar, and you have a +20 competence, +1 luck, +1 rank, +4 morale, +5-20 insight, +2-8 charisma, and a 20 on die.

The cleric can cast imbue with spell ability to give you the ability to cast divine insight.

Are you able to buy some potions and whatnot?  I realize that you probably don't want to drop too much just for using 1 single scroll.  Also, I like to keep things simple:
- eagle's splendor (+4 cha) = 300gp
- guidance of the avatar (+20 check) = 300gp
- one dose of liquid pain (+1d4+1 cha) = 200gp
total = 800gp.  ~+8 cha, +20 check .... total bonus = +25

Bind Balam to get your reroll -- you now have a 84% chance of getting a 9+ on your roll.

Buy a bunch of Chronocharms that also give a couple points, each a different bonus type, to UMD

No, you don't. One of the best Spell Storing methods is a Glyph Seal. This item is in the MIC, on page 161. It is basically a Glyph of Warding that is reusable.

Spend 4k GP on a Greater Glyph Seal, and never look back. Why?
Unlike Glyph of Warding (GoW), it doesn't restrict you to storing only harmful spells. If fact, it explicitly states "any arcane or divine spell". But it triggers just like the spell glyph function of GoW. Which mean that, yes, you can put a personal spell into it, and it affects the person who triggers the 'trap'.

So he puts Surge of Fortune into it, then adheres the thing to a box or book or something, then you open it. You get the spell. At his CL.
Repeat for Divine Insight.
Repeat for Guidance of the Avatar.

Alliteratively, you can also use the other Spell Storing tricks out there.
Spell Storing property arrows to get 50 x 3rd level or lower spells put on you.
Debatedly, a Ring of Spell Storing might not need UMD to activate other classes spells.
Delicate Disk, is awesome.

One thing you'll notice here, though, is that nothing is free. The main reason I like Greater Glyph Seal is because it is cheap, and reusable. And trust me, once you start using that thing, you will find yourself using it a lot.

Yeah, what Maat said is a good point. Since you have more than 5HD, you get two 1st level spells, and one 3rd. Divine Insight is a 1st, and Guidance is a 2nd, & your other 1st can be whatever. There's +20 competence & +20 insight right there.

Divine Insight is a second-level spell and capped at +15. You're correct other than that (you can just cast Insight on yourself, wait for the Imbue to wear off, and have it cast on you again to get Guidance too).

Do you need to cast this Scroll in combat? If not, play the odds. You're only locked out on a Natural One & you fail the check, otherwise you can keep retrying.

So a +15 modifier gives you a 10% success, 5% chance of failure, and the other 85% is rerolling. In other wards, of the three possible end result outcomes, two of them has you successfully casting the spell or 66% rate of success over. But it requires up to 18 rounds to on average reach one of the out comes.

In combat of course you'll want to cast it on the first try. But playing the odds lets even stupid Fighters use out of combat utility Spells to solve problems. Like give me a few minutes and I'll create a safe place to sleep, UMDs Animate Rope. etc.
