While Godzilla does have surprisingly low screen time it actually ends up working with only mild frustration.  Basically you get this....

Buildup, buildup, buildup, oh it's waking up, awesome, human plot, monsters are going at it and oh its only a tease, human plot, teased again, human plot, SHIT GETS REAL.

Though it was annoying that they kept teasing, I know why they did it for pacing and structure.  And in spite of my criticism, my heart did flutter when Godzilla let off his first roar.  Unlike other monster movies whose star doesn't show up often, Godzilla doesn't wait til the end of the movie to appear.  You do see him fairly early on (after they introduce the enemy though).  It's just you don't see him get his awesome on until later.

But those fatalities man...

Without speaking a single word you could see Godzilla going "Get the fuck off my planet bitch!"  Cities gonna get wrecked!
(Still a lower bodycount that Superman though.   :lol )
Mudada.

It was marketed as a total non-stop action film.  And it is, once you get past an hour in.  The first our is the buildup and expositiony bits  Still worth it.

Rumor has it they're considering a DaM reboot as the sequel.

Most excellent, bhu, most excellent.

I've been at my internship two days now and nothing has caught fire. I feel accomplished.

Tonight I sang "A Whole New World" and "Bohemian Rhapsody."  As Smeagol.  I feel like I've accomplished something.

I also played Cards Against Humanity for the first time and tied for first place for most awesome points by the end.  Then we did Pictionary with the CAH cards and my team lost miserably.  lol

Alas, there is no recording as far as I know.  But there will be chances in the coming months to do it again, and to a larger audience.  If all goes well I'll be doing it at this year's Anime Banzai here close to Salt Lake, and one of the organizers for that said if I was able to go she'd do her best to see that I could sing.

Okay, finally got around to Godzilla.
This is what a Godzilla movie is supposed to be.  I seriously can't think of how it could have possibly been done better.

Both will be directed by Edwards, who will also be doing one of the Star Wars spin off films.
