I'll try to update and move things along soon, but hopefully Rin and/or linklord will post before that. If they don't, we'll move on without them for the time being. If that happens, then they'll be free to post as though they held their initiative.

Oh, sorry, I was waiting on adjudication that already happened :blush
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

I think I said getting back in the boat will take your action for the round, but I feel I've been restrictive enough with it all so far. Getting back in the boat won't use your action for the round, but it will use up all of your movement.

You said that if you got hold of the ship, it took 5 feet of your movement, otherwise 10 feet. Granted, that was if you succeeded on the climbing up, so I don't know what you want to rule a failed roll. Also, since Rin's forgot to post and Linklord's given his actions, it's time for your Ork Captain to start doing bad things.

Ginger seems to be stuck in the water anyway, so the post wouldn't really change what's going on, would it?

That was also assuming you use your action for the round to climb up. Still, I'll get my post up.

Looks like we're just waiting on Liver-Eating Johnston and Kalavar for this round. :)

Hi folks,

I just got some unfortunate personal news that's likely to keep me busy for a little while in RL.  Consequently, I'm unlikely to be able to post much, if at all, in the next week.

Would it be possible for my character to sort of drop out of sight and turn up again a little later?

That's fine, as you literally just dropped out of sight and into the water. I'm extremely used to players having to take temporary leaves of absence, so don't worry if you need to drop off the radar for a little while. Sorry to hear about your troubles, and I hope things improve soon!

Yeesh, you've got an unlucky barbarian! Might be time to start raging, to get advantage on your strength checks.  :lmao
(The only real reason not to would be the risk in it ending early since there are no enemies immediately near you, and thus the use would otherwise go to waste. Other than helping you break free, of course, and even advantage isn't a guarantee of success.)

Would me trying to drag people out of the drink be me making a strength check, or just giving them advantage? And if it is a check, do I get advantage for bracing myself on the slats we were presumably sitting on?

I'll leave the choice up to you. A successful DC 13 strength check will lift one person up onto the boat, or you can use your action to sort of "lend a hand" to everyone trying to climb up, granting advantage. And sure, bracing yourself can grant advantage on the strength check.

I post the initiative order at the top of every round and each time I post for the NPC's. Currently, only Kalavar has gone this round, and everyone else can post before we get back to the NPC turns.

I don't really have a good post for 'stand around waiting for the next guy to show up to be headkicked'. >.>

You could help the others, or you could wade further into the ship. Or you could stand around waiting for the next guy to show up to be headkicked.  :P

Help people? Fuck that. Heads to kick! And this way gives a nice bottleneck as they can't rush out. :D
