Yeah, looks like you're in the water now.

The other human looks at Phyr in wide-eyed astonishment. He turns to run, shouting in fear. "Ahh! Oh Gods, why has this happened to me?! Ilmater, let me survive to see my children!"

Raineh, your positioning grants you an opportunity attack against the human as he runs away. As a side note, you notice that he is unarmed, unlike the formerly sleeping guard who had a crossbow. Not that I expect it'll make a difference to Phyr.

Not at all inclined to let any more of the bastards--praying to Ilmater, after what he'd done--get away, Phyr cheerfully attempted to crush the wretch's skull.

A well-placed kick crunches bone as the guard goes tumbling down the stairs. From below, Phyr hears a shout in Orcish, followed by the sound of footsteps clattering up from below deck.

Kalavar crouches down and braces himself against the boards he was previously sitting on. Reaching down, he rips the drowning gnome out of the water. "That's one!" he roars as he pulls up, getting the gnome out of the dark sea.

I lose my temper and try to break my bonds again, finally succeeding.

The gnome wiggled about, gasping for breath.

"Thank you." he said in between breaths, still unable to escape his bonds.

Never mind, I will do it myself.  Nobody has any respect for their elders any more.

Erenor manages to haul himself out of the water, and collapses spread-eagled on the bottom of the dinghy. 

Whoever toppled our transport best hope no damage came to my things.

Hustling and bustling below deck can be readily heard by the Dark Elf as the crew of the ship seems to be responding to shouts of alarm. It won't be long now before the first-responders reach the doorway leading to the main deck. The deck itself seems to creak and groan among the commotion.

Your finely-tuned senses notice something. The creaking and groaning is not due to the wood of the ship rocking against the waves of the ocean, nor the action downstairs- It's coming from the cargo fastened by netting in the center of the deck.

Also, you probably have 1-2 rounds before the reinforcements arrive from below deck.

I explode from the water.

"Before one of you fools tipped the boat I believe I mentioned LEAVING ONE ALIVE FOR QUESTIONING GODDAMMIT!"

Kalavar looks briefly at the water, checking the condition of the remainder of the small group he was chained to. Determining that none of the others were in immediate danger, he turns and makes his way to the main boat.

John finally makes it back onto the small boat, the frigid water seemingly less of a nuisance than the group's current predicament.

Kalavar handily arrives on the larger ship. When he arrives, his keen elven-perception picks up the shouts of alarm and ruckus coming from below deck. The rest of the crew is awake and will be on-deck shortly.

Anyone with a 15 Dex or higher can automatically succeed in balancing on the broad rope tied between the larger and smaller boats. Anyone with a strength of 13 or higher can automatically succeed in climbing the rope. Traversing in either fashion will halve your speed, but you should be able to make it from the dinghy in one round.


Anyone making it to the ship can figure that the crew will start arriving above deck in about 3 rounds.

Erenor takes a moment to compose himself after being so rudely dumped into the ocean, then surprises everyone by nimbly tightrope-walking the rope to the deck of the ship proper.

I'll use my action to dry myself off with Prestidigitation (first things first, you know), then move over to the boat.

I'll climb the rope and look for something to beat people with.

Looking around on the rear top deck, John finds rope and several boxes and crates, some small or light enough to make handy improvised weapons, though they are unlikely to hold up after one or two beatings. More crates line the deck, most too large to easily lift without a good deal of effort. There is also a heavy-bladed cutlass next to the dead orc's body.

Those who make it to the deck of the main ship notice a large pile fastened to the center of the ship with thick rope netting, tied down to hooks set into the main deck. A groaning and creaking seems to emanate from that area of the boat.

I makes my way towards the cutlass so I can be ready for fun times.
