1) Using the True Shapeshift DSA to become a Hagunemnon (Protean) from the epic SRD in order to access it's unique multiple-creature Alter Shape (ex). (without sacrificing class levels or divine rank to be a Protean) This ability grants up to four additional (ex) abilities from other creatures while retaining most of the Protean's base stats and qualities. Abilities I'm interested in:
- 1a) Gaining the Tarrasque's Carapace (ex) ability
- 1b) Gaining a Swarm Shifter's (Libris Mortis template) Immunity to Weapon Damage (ex) Alternately would you allow Ocean Giant (B) and Half Clay Golem (P/S) immunities together (both from Fiend Folio)
- 1d) Gaining the unique Swallow Whole (ex) of the Gibbering Orb from the epic SRD. This one is pretty stinky… [I would propose that epic spells cannot be gained using this ability if allowed at all]
- 1e) Gaining a 10d6 base damage natural attack from the large sized Uvuudaum (epic SRD)
- 1f) Gaining the magic immunity(ex) of an alchemical golem (MM3)
- 1g) Gaining the unique Earth Glide (ex) of the Glitterhaunt (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fw/20040509a) which allows movement through metal.
- 1h) Having access to a swack of other less-problematic abilities as needed at the cost of a free action, such as Will-o-Wisp Natural Invisibility or an elder treant's 3X dmg vs objects.
2)Using the True Shapeshift DSA to become a Templated creature, within reason. I was looking to stack four templates, in this order: Air Elemental (MoP), Pseudonatural (epic SRD), Phantom (MM5), and Paragon (epic SRD). I'm willing to use up one of the 4 party slots to contain a creature of this type, to 'prove it exists' - the four templates can be legally applied to a Hagunemnon which would have 44HD and be CR 58. All the template variables would be based off of the 44HD monster, not the 70 HD deity.
4) the Cosmic Connection ability of the Cosmic Descryer class? (epic SRD) It seems pretty ripe for abuse and infinite shenanigans, but I really like the flavor of the ability. I would propose limiting it to not work past negative 10hp even if one could somehow survive the damage, (delay death, etc) and for it do deal unavoidable damage similar to backlash damage on epic spells. That should keep it away from absurd numbers while still allowing me to cast Vengeful Gaze of God.
5) A personal divine realm that would be a subset of the Far Realm, but with its Flowing time (1:0 ratio) aspect removed as an aspect of personalizing the divine realm as per divine rules. I was hoping to replace it with the Timeless quality, with regards to magic as well as the normal Astral effects, which appears to be within the power of the rules for personalizing your divine realm. For Planar Bubble purposes, of course. [I would propose that the duration of a spell exposed to normal time after its duration would have normally expired would start again at a highly accelerated rate, perhaps 60x normal]
6) Just a couple of questions about how you would rule class/monster abilities: (all should be testable in-game, but it would be nice to know in advance)
- 6a-Will the Planar Travel (ex) ability of the Umbral Blot (epic SRD) work in an area that is planar locked or otherwise without astral connections? The text states that you gain @will use of several abilites that would not normally work in such environments, but it is an (ex) ability and the flavor text implies that the ability does not work using the astral plane at all...
- 6b-Can the 100' radius Antimagic Field (ex) of a Stone Colossus be brought down with a Disjunction effect like a normal AMF?
- 6c-Can Supernatural Spells from the Dweomerkeeper class be dispelled/disjoined as normal?
- 6d-Any upper limit to the bonuses that can be granted by the Masochism spell? Beyond surviving and healing large amounts of damage, that is.
7) I seem to recall a limitation on the Multispell feat to only allow taking it once per 10 base caster levels. Is this still the case?
8) One party member may go for optimizing Planar Turning - what do you think of the epic feats at
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ei/20031115a ? Especially Ignore Turn Resistance, intensify turning and epic divine might. Also, how would you rule with regard to how Planar Turning interacts with the granted power of the sun domain, or the Disciple of the Sun feat (complete divine)?
9) No so much a build question, but is it possible to request a session without the Celerity spell? (ie - neither me nor anyone else has access to it) High level shenanigans are bad enough without arbitrary immediate actions flying around all over the place… up to you, of course.
