Iron Will - I always cut it from a build in favour of something more combat or magic related... then kick myself afterwards.

Well, if you really want it that badly, it's only 3k worth of WBL to pick it up^^

True, though magical locations are usually something discussed with a DM and worked into a background, rather than bandied about purely for CO.

As an aside, I once had a discussion where we were trying to figure out how an Otyugh could offer sufficient horror to frighten a high level character to earn the iron will feat. At some point the conversation devolved into a few drifting words: "hole... otyugh... hole... " and we all shared an involuntary shudder and agreed that if a character could go through that, they deserved the feat.

I just refluff it as the character being hard-headed or something.

If you are metamorphed (and metamorphic transfer feat) into a 7-headed CryoHydra

... and the Otyugh makes you puke

... how many toilets do you need to puke into ??

Ag-fucking-reed.

Studies show that bacon is even better with bacon.

Steadfast determination is good for non-Wisdom-based builds. Lets you consolidate the two best saves into an already important stat as well as allowing one of those saves to not auto-fail on a nat 1. Downside is the prerequisite, so best if you can snag it as a bonus (Ranger 3, Warblade 5) or if you already need Endurance as a prereq. for something else.
Hmm.

In before Item Familiar ... on the second page.

Wow, how did that one get missed?   :twitch

Ancestral Relic also counts... assuming it's not a Monty Haul game of course.  Craft Wonderous Item would work for any classes that have the appropriate spells.

Obtain Familiar (just requires some arcane casting, any arcane casting, which is easy to fit into many, many builds).

Mindsight, if you can somehow snag telepathy.

Luck of Heroes is actually nice for a flat numerical bonus-granting feat.
