I want to throw my hat in, if there's still space.

Skimmed through the thread, and apparently there's a DFA and a Dungeoncrasher... anything else? I am thinking on a Warmage that uses Blistering Spell Metamagic (possibly some other MM) with Arcane Thesis (scratch this... forgot the guy will take a whole round to cast) or Warlock...

Edit: thinking on other options...
Use Arcane Preparation to get casting to normal time? If you know you'll be slapping Blistering on everything anyway, preparing shouldn't be that much of a problem...

Xeph Warlock is my intended route.

Going Hellfire?

And if Risada goes with the Warmage, I might switch to a DFA or Swift Hunter, nice and easy on the book-keeping :)

How about this rough sketch:

Silverbrow Human Warmage 8
Stats: Cha/Con > Int > everything else

Feats:
Arcane Preparation (H), Fell Weaken/Blistering Spell (1), Draconic Aura (Energy - Fire) (3), Arcane Thesis (6), Sudden Empower (7)

Spell selection is going to float around fire spells and some utility through Eclectic Learning... And thinking on the spell that will be bound to Arcane Thesis...

Damn.... needed one more feat, then I could be applying a -4 penalty to hit of living melee monsters...

And the Fire focus could be swapped with Cold, if there's better feats to look into (just looked Flash Frost spell, and it is... average, at best...)

OK, here's my dungeoncrasher build skeleton:

Goliath DCF 6/Totemist 1
Feats: Power Attack1st, Improved Bull RushB, Shape Soulmeld (Mauling Gauntlets)3rd, KnockbackB, Bonus Essentia6th

Assuming an 18 Str, that would be a bull-rush mod of +6 Str +4 size +4 imp bull rush +6 gauntlets +2 sphinx claws +x power attack = 24+X.

Don't have room for Shock Trooper yet, but it's not as big a deal at the moment.

Comments?

EDIT: Feats to be taken once we get the DCFS going (kidding) -- Shock Trooper, Improved Trip if I can manage it, Cobalt Power.  Going to use a Guisarme w/ Shock Trooper.

EDIT2: Swapping a level of Totemist for the last DCF level.  Might as well get the damage rolling out of the gate.

Hellfire would mean using PrCs, which Tiltowait was on the fence about, and seemed to me to be against the spirit of the game; please speak up if I low-balled the appropriate power level.  Face and ranged support is my goal.

Xeph Warlock 8.  Feats: PB Shot, Psionic Shot, Extra Invocation: Beguiling Influence.  Invocations: Baleful Utterance, Beguiling Influence, Miasmic Cloud, See the Unseen/Fell Flight, Walk Unseen.

I interpreted it as PrCs being fine, as long as they don't drastically ramp up the power level or add a crapton of new abilites (for example Warmage/Rainbow Servant silliness would be right out the window)

I figured Hellfire Blast without Naberius and Bloodlines and all that wouldn't be all that gamebreaking  :shrug

Basic stub looks fine by the way, only suggestion would be maybe Empower SLA for that 3/day extra oomph

Here is the first draft of the character I was looking at playing. A BFC Warlock (Summon Swarm, Wall of perilous Flame, et al.) with possibly Repelling Blast to knock people toward her effects. I don't have all of her gear bought or invocations chosen, but that will change. She's currently human, but if it's allowed, I'd like to go Lesser Aasimar for the Cha boost.  http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=381200

If that won't fly, I could put toghether something else.

What I was uncertain about was what the tiers were for different PRCs, and the premise here is that everyone has a weak class or classes. Bypassing that limitation by stealing a bunch of higher grade abilities via feats, items, PRCs etc goes against that spirit. But PRCs and such are not inherently bad, just as a means of bypassing that restriction.

It isn't so much about pure power (I'm not blinking twice at percival's DC build), just in terms of keeping within those limitations.

Dark Speech + Summon Swarm?  Tilt can't throw books at you over the interwebs.

lol.

Try me.

Hellfire Warlock requires a minimum of level 10 to enter doesn't it? Getting a bit ahead of yourself, or just making future plans? That class doesn't bother me, and neither does not taking Con damage in order to do a little better damage. It just isn't available yet.

There doesn't seem to be any more people showing interest so how is everyone's characters coming and how many do we have?

I haven't done any more fleshing out than the sketch above... I'll try to do some more today, but I'm pretty busy.  Tomorrow might be better.

A cursory glance tells me that we have a Duneon Crasher Fighter, 2 Warmages (one fire focused and one not) and 2 Warlocks (one blaster & one BFC).

If you thin we have too many casters, I can make something different.

Well, it's a D&D game. Of course there are a lot of casters. I'm not seeing any problem here but if you'd rather play something else you are welcome to pick other classes.

Oh no, that's fine. I assume as it's Forgotten Realms, that Lesser Aasimar is out as a race goes?

Question -- since I'm technically level 7 (but ECL 8), which WBL do I get?

Yes.

Your Estimated Character Level is 8. You lose a HD and associated bonuses but not wealth. That's the same as everyone else.

I for one could see a lot of use for a Paladin in our current lineup, though it may need to be a Paladin of Freedom for alignment's sake.

Another sack of hit points would be nice, yes

And I'm a bit undecided about what to play, so I figured I'd ask you guys for your opinion
Basically narrowed it down to 3 options:
-Warmage (no particular focus)
-DFA (BC, UMD monkey if scoll/wand access isn't too restricted)
-Swift Hunter (straight up damage, nonmagical scout and Legolas impersonator extraordinaire)

Do you guys have any preferences/suggestions for what will best round out the party? I was thinking the DFA might have some synergy with our resident bulldozer, the big guy ramming any wandering critters into the area I can cover before I breathe...
