Catalogs of Enlightenment(DLCS Sun Domain). Or a dip in Death Delver or Sacred Exorcist.

I am partial towards the simple build:

Bard 2/ Cleric 1/ Bard 2/ Eldrich Master 4/ Dweomer Keeper 1/ Sublime Chord 1/ Dweomer Keeper 9

Extend Spell
Persistent Spell
Ability Enhancer
Alternative Sourced Spell
Divine Metamagic Persistent
Practiced Spellcaster
Easy Metamagic Persistent
Spell Focus Transmutation
Fell Energy Spell

Nixies Grace, Snowsong, Kiss of the vampire, Visage of the Deity Greater, Thunderlance, Divine Power

I did not have much trouble hitting a Cha of 70.

More Complicated
Bard 1/ Cleric 1/Human Paragon 3/ Eldrich Master 2/ Dweomerkeeper 1 (Bard Progression)/Eldrich Master 2/ Sublime Chord 1/ Dweomerkeeper 9

I personally like Warblade 7/Divine Crusader 1/Sovereign Speaker 9/Contemplative 1/X 1 (where X is any other domain-granting prc, depending on what domains you already have).  Spontaneous casting from 12 domains.

Anthrophomorphic Baleen Whale 3 HD/Paladin 4/Divine Crusader 7/ Sovereign Speaker 4/ Heirophant 2

Take Magic as one of your domains and the dragon magazine feat that lets you pick what spells are in your domain.  For the Magic Domain you can pick any spell, it just has to be one level higher than normal.  BAB 16 without divine power, but Divine Metamagic is possible.  Heirophant for bonus metamagic feats.

The Hexer PrC (3.0) is one of the few +10 BAB and 10/10 casting progression PrCs. You need to be able to cast Lightning Bolt as a divine spell (as well as some racial and skill reqs).

Archivist 6/Hexer 10/Sacred Exorcist 4 isn't bad...
or Wizard 5 (using Southern Magician or Alt Source Spell)/Hexer 10/Abj Champ 5.

Southern Magician is difficult, since it is a regional (Human) feat, while hexer has specific racial reqs. A generous reading of the reqs would allow a Neanderthal to qualify as a "savage humanoid", while still being Human.

If you can swing 3rd party, you could use the Lost Tradition feat to change your Wizard casting stat to Wisdom, so you could take full advantage of the Hexer's Wisdom based abilities...

As Cyclone Joker pointed out, Divine Anima Mages can be excellent gishes. I played one of those at levels 15-17 as the main damage dealer of the party and it was heaps of fun. It was a particularly high powered campaign, so I had crafted Contingent Giant Size on myself (Hero domain for the win) along with some other nasty buffs. Naturally I used Astaroth for crafting. Then one of the vestiges (Dantalion?) gives you a neat +8 to all Knowledge checks, which was helpful.

I think the character was Binder 1/Cloistered Cleric 1/Anima Mage 10/Contemplative 1/Cloistered Cleric X.
Yeah... I had an Ur-Priest/Anima Mage that was fun. :D

Sorry for the double post... damn... need some sleep.

His class load made much more sense in Second Edition where Elmunchkin had dual classed three freaking times.

Do you need to be a munchkin when you're wearing Full Plate of Plot Armor +11?

In all fairness, he has 21+ wizard levels. He could dump the rest on Commoner and still be a threat as long as he kept Spellcraft maxed.

There was a post over on the official WotC forums a long time back, that made my sides hurt from laughing...sadly been lost in the many revisisons to their boards AFAIK.

It was something to the effect of "Oh hi, welcome to the Forgotten Realms. It's a land of munchkins, where almost every named NPC will have more Wizard or Cleric levels than anyone in your party. As soon as you hit level 20, you get to join an exclusive club. The initiation rite is that you have to give a sponge bath to Elminster - please be warned that he is both senile and incontinent, so he's likely to unleash epic magic against you at some point for being a stranger in his bathroom".

In FR, the merchant has more wizard levels than you and probably more important.

Played right in Icewind Dale: your second quest giver is an old man asking you, a first level adventurer, to beat up some yetis. But he is about a 20th level Druid, and killing him ends the world. Moral of the story, don't f*ck with the NPCs in FR.

2 headed version of Multiheaded Template in SS
Buy a PAO from the local magic mart, perhaps level 3.
Be a Medium or smaller Outsider.
1 rhd + (2 rhd +2LA) = ecl 5
... EDIT it's ecl 4.  The 1rhd gets x-ed out.
Do the SS ritual later, because it's cheaper than
a counter dispel magic / counter-counter pao item.
Then go Ardent 2 for Magic Mantle, broad interpretation.
Needs +2 MLs probably via CL boosters.  Something here:
http://community.wizards.com/go/thread/view/75882/19872350/Raising_Caster_Level?pg=1
Gets the level 4 powers on time.

The LA+2 with the RHDs gets fully bought off by levels 19 or 20.
Basically: 3 RHD / Ardent 2 / Slayer 9 / Anarchic Initiate 4 / ??
But a TWF specialist (which I am not) should chew this up.
