Who thought crockery and towels could cost so much eh?

More like replacing everything I own due to the natural disaster I was affected by last year.   :shakefist

Also bills, damn them.

I finally have an apartment and I'm not living on a couch anymore!

God I'm spending so much money though... :(

If there's a Volunteers of America near you and they're like the local ones they have half off everything early tuesday mornings on the last tuesday every month.  You might be able to find something there if you get there before doors open

There isn't.  I'm not in trouble or anything, but I am supporting an unemployed friend and myself on my income.  I can do it, but I stress about money.  She moved in with me when I got the apartment (separate rooms, platonic friendship...mostly) and living here should greatly improved her job prospects.

My Calculus teacher informed me today (summer class) that I was exempt from the final, because I had a 100.5% average in the class.
He then insisted that he be allowed to write me a recommendation letter and put it in my file, because I "blasted the shit out of the class".

Now, if I can ace the REST of my summer classes, maybe it will make up for the massive fuck-up that was my first year at college...

I just donated red blood cells and three of the four female technicians in the room flirted with me at some point in time.  It was all pretty minor, but still.   :cool

Maybe it just seems minor cause they inherently understand blood loss means you wont be getting up to any immediate shenanigans  :D

Nothing big for me. I just cleaned out my email inbox. ~400 messages (150 unread) down to about 30 messages and 5 unread (and that's only because I'm having an active conversation with some people while I'm cleaning).

I have just tasted Mikawaya Mochi ice cream. It embodies all that is right with this world.

I've spent all night kept awake by a storm.  I'm sleeping in the loft of my old house so its really loud wind and the sound of the rain hitting the windows/roof has been deafening.  At first glance this seems like it should be a rant but its been really peaceful in an odd way and I feel quite refreshed and awake
Something inside me dies when I see the word fallacy applied to ideas held about roleplaying. And a small bit of vomit comes up when I see a character called a 'toon'.

Congratulations!

I don't like what it says about my social life, but still, it's an accomplishment ;)
