"The one who still has a heartbeat at the end wins..." Brone makes his crossbow disappear underneath his cloak. "I agree; the noble, forward approach isn't a terribly bright one. Terribly un-mercenary of us, too...." He brushes himself off, dispensing of the dust he'd kicked up onto his clothing. Noting his lack of wounds, he satisfactorily smiles, waiting for the others to catch their breath.

Still wary Jax realizes how close he came to being frog food.  Not wanting to repeat such exposure the approaches his companions with a plan for the moathouse.

"I think I want to scout the moat house a bit before we all go.   Mialgru, you willing to scout from the air while I take the ground?"

Kalal offers "I can travel along with you under the ground, in case you get into trouble."

Sure, Jax was it? Mialgru says as his large form collides on itself and he turns into the Ibis again. As I said before there are some positions up there that I can't see, so we might already have been spotted.

Oh, and I agree that underestimating these frogs were probably a bad idea.
Mialgru will take to the skies and fly up to explore again, waiting for Jax to cross the stream as he watches from above.

"Aye Mial, Mikkel, Mialgru.  Jax is the name" he says with a hint of mischievousness.

If the rest of the group is okay with the plan Jax will head out melting from view as he approaches the shadows of the moat house even as Kalal takes to the earth and Mialgru the sky.

Kalal says as Jax begins to move out "Don't move too fast. Even I can't tunnel more than at a slow walking speed."

"Very well stonefriend, slower is probably safer in this instance anyways" he says as he starts to move out.

When the moathouse was taken, part of the drawbridge was battered through, and men crossed on planks to gain access to the inner gates.  The chains of the drawbridge were broken, and it fell; it has remained thus since.

Kalal's head emerges from the ground, and he whispers "I cannot travel through stone, and it is stone down to below the moat. So I will have to enter with you, friend Jax."

As Kalal pokes his head out of the ground Jax is pondering how best to cross and looking to see if there is any options besides just swimming the moat.

Mialgru starts on his quick tour around the tower while the others find a way to cross the moat.

Tork stays out side of the moathouse, he is going to move over to the planks then back to the group to see if the planks could hold our weight if we cross the moat using them.  Tork will try to Hide in Plain Sight moves up to the planks and looks at them over then go back to the group.  The planks are not fare away so this should not take much time.   Does Tork think the planks can hold everybodys weight; if we cross one at a time?   After he gets back to the group he tells them what he found. Hide in Plain sight:
Rolled 1d20+11 : 2 + 11, total 13
Perception:
Rolled 1d20+7 : 9 + 7, total 16

Unscathed during the last fight, Brone sits tight while the scouting parties collect intelligence.

Bobbynock too slings his crossbow back under his cloak as he waits for the scouting to be completed.

There's a door around here, but apart from that the tower seems empty. Have you guys figured out how to cross the bridge yet? Mialgru will flitter back and forth. Looking out for trouble (with the same perception chcek) while waiting for the party to cross.

Mizar, still slightly winded, sits down and plays with the pebbles on the grass, waiting the return of his companions.

Is the ground on the other side of the moat paved with/made of stone? If not, Kalal will tunnel under the moat, and come up on the other side. It can't be stone all the way down forever, around the whole thing... can it?

Is there even planks or other structure over the moat at this time?  If there is and it looks like he can make it across Jax will just attempt to Balance his way across.
