Awesome because of the cop in the story. Two asshats in flak jackets showed up at the Mohammed cartoon-fest in Arizona, and started spraying bullets only to be shot dead by a cop with his service revolver before they could injure a single person.

The movie Ex Machina ... is awesome.

Without giving any spoilers, consider
what you know about Asimov's 3 Laws.
Now pitch them completely overboard,
and add in a dash of cheesecake.
See if you can spot the r.l. Ballerina.

So, who here knew that there was a Dr. Dolittle cartoon in the 70s?

Mod grasshoppers are something I didn't even know I needed in my life.

Absolutely. One of my favorite sci fi movies ever.

i thought kubrick would have done it better, it seemed like it was frequently trying to emulate his films.
(click to show/hide)

maybe the kubrick standard is to high a bar...

but the entire time i was thinking about the isolation in the Shining and 2001 and how it resembled other movies

Tonight I helped two people realize who they truly were.  One is struggling to come to terms with his cultural heritage versus who he is and how he feels, and the other is a person who is transgender.  I suppose even if I'm not working at a paid job, I can still make change people's lives for the better.  I need to remember these people, and others.  Especially my friend who said I helped her stay away from suicide and feel life was worth living again.  I need to remember I am and can always be worthwhile.

Yesterday I had math class at the uni (I've gone back to college) and the previous week I had a test.

I was sweating bullets, because I've always had a hate-masochism relationship with math.

She gives us the test back...

7,9.

Considering I was expecting nearly any result from 0 to 5, I am commemorating even now.  :p

Good news:  Hung out at an arcade/bowling alley/mini golf course with three of my friends.  Had some shitty golf and bowling, but won the ice cream eating competition and didn't even get brain freeze.  Also got hugs from two wonderful women who are two of the friends there.  Other friend is a guy who works at an arcade.

Bad news:  Asthma kicked in from playing the DDR game.  Also probably broke the outside screen of my dad's flip phone.  At least the inside is still fully functional.

Tax people will be taking a  third.  Need a new used car so thatll prolly be another third.  Need new PC and some equipment so there's up to a thousand there.  The money will kick me off medicaid and it's 500 bucks a month fro my glaucoma and asthma meds alone.  It'll go quick.
