His supporters will just have to masturbate to Atlas Shrugged fan fics again instead.

Rand Paul is out (thank goodness).  I'm expecting a number of his supports to go to Trump, but most to just smoke a ton of weed and daze off, all while railing about how it's not fair that the police doesn't go after drug offenders enough and the government is too into their lives.

Yes I'm aware that the previous sentence makes little sense, but then again, neither do Rand Paul supporters.

In all seriousness, I'm not really sure who they'll go to.  I'd honestly expect a few to jump across the aisle to Sanders, a number to support Trump, and some to support whoever is in the lead that's the least religious in the Republican field.  So...Trump?  Uh....Christie?  No, they'd never go for Christie....uh....maybe Rubio?  No, he's worse than Christie for them....

Anyways who cares, it was only like 2% of the voters anyways.

I've heard that there are Bernie Sanders fans on Reddit who will vote for Trump if their candidate loses the nomination.

I figure that they're either people with no political consciousness voting only for seemingly anti-establishment candidates, or pseudo-liberals I see all the time in the default subreddits who are all about the free college tuition and weed but hate minorities.

There's also the fact that Trump used to be SUPER liberal.  Like, "proposed a one time 75% tax on all assets" liberal.  Well, that's not really liberal, that's just crazy, but still.  He's still for free healthcare, kind of?  It's hard to get a grasp on his policies.  His....I mean his "policies" are just "yelling"...

Keyword: used to.

I don't see how you can vote for him now as a centrist or liberal unless you just woke up from a cryogenics lab.

In the meantime, it happened.  /r/the_donald subreddit mass banned Neo-Nazi posters from/r/european given that their racist support for Trump was too...on the nose, shall we say?  In response, members of /r/the_donald are now banned from /r/european.

"Gas the Jews" is always a comment that will get you banned.
Your crazy uncle's well meaning off the cuff offensive shit will not.
You guys only think we're going SJW on you because we do such a good job keeping this place clean that you don't even realize how many KKK brigaders show up.
I will be making a new post about this later next week.

At least they're drawing a line in the sand, but I take it that their "no bigotry" rule isn't effective anymore, or expanded to allow for certain kinds. :rolleyes

While I'm at it....

http://www.nationalpopularvote.com/written-explanation A clever way to bypass the electoral collage.  Good.

http://dailycaller.com/2016/02/12/poll-bernie-sanders-gaining-on-hillary-clinton-in-illinois/ This is notable for being BEFORE the curbstomp in NH.  In addition, look at the undecided.  This is good for Sanders, as undecided tend to break his way anyway.

There it is.  The Democratic party is now on fire.

Balls.  More evidence that the DNC is running scared of Sanders.

So you can be sorry for a person's death AND relieved he's not in a position to ruin the country with his rulings anymore, right?

And some senators are already pledging to block the incoming nominee.

Apparently, nearly tripling the previous record for the longest the post's vacant is a perfectly moral decision... because... no reason whatsoever. There's nearly a whole year before there's a new president, FFS; they're four year terms, not three years.

Their big hope was that he would live to see a Republican president, and then resign to be replaced. So, now they have to block appointments for a year, hoping they win the White House.

And then the Dems pledge to filibuster everything until a nominee is approved? Nah... that'll never happen.

I don't see how there's a nomination confirmed until next year.  The GOP is going to block any and all for the next year hoping that a Republican gets elected, and that's going to slow down the already lethargic congress, because nothing's going to get done.

I think the idea that one of the three branches shouldn't endeavour to fuck over the other two because of ideological twaddle passed them by.

Alternatively, you could argue that it is the duty of the Senate to approve only the most suitable* nominee, no matter how long that process takes.

*according to them
I'm not arguing, I'm explaining why I'm right.

So long as the decision making process is unbiased.

Setting a ridiculous new record just so that it stretches into the next presidency ruins all arguments.

weenie  :fu filter  :P

Scalia was a decent man at an inter-personal level.

I think his reputation for being an arch-conservative
Lion, is way oversold.  Rather his own assessment
of his victories was "damn few".  Good thing that.

He didn't sway Kennedy with his insults, and even
Roberts was not spared.  Thomas is the one with
real theological training ;  when he spoke/speaks
behind the scenes, he says things that make the
old-time-religion lobes light up in all 6 Catholics.

Scalia was a Cafeteria Originalist (see slavery)
and that influence is obvious, in the immediate
McConnell hey let's violate the constitution
just for your replacement.  It's not even ironic.
Your codpiece is a mimic.
