So I know what your all thinking..."Why would he give Thom's character drinks?" because you think a drunk Thom is funny, but a drunk Thom with a drunk character will either lead to absolute hilarity or complete disaster  :lmao

Hilarity or disaster?  Why not both?

Storm Wolves if you would like to have the rest of the group present you may rejoin the main thread? Otherwise, you can post however you would like to send them off and the rest of the group can come up right after (with everyone back in the main thread at that point instead).

Would you three like to say a few words or anything descriptive about how you're sending your former companions off, or would you like me to just sum it up and we can roll back into the main thread?

If each of you could also put together a wish list of magic items and such. Like 10 or so items ranging from levels 1 to 5. Since I have to re-populate the adventure with the stuff as we lost a number of players and added new ones. I will use these as a guide to help me get you some stuff you would most likely use over just selling.

Please list them like this;

Wyrmtooth Dagger Level 2 PHB2 pg. 204

I'll see what I can do as far as that goes.

As for the post, I tried to follow what I imagine Dunor's people's rites to be, mostly influenced by viking funeral rites. I lifted most of the Giant text right from Wikipedia.  :flutter
I posted it in spoilers since checking everyone's sheets, it seems the only other one who speaks Giant is Søffå. Perhaps someone else does as well, in which case they can also understand the language Dunor is speaking.

Was waiting for a bit to see if anyone else wanted to post before describing the boat burning. I will post it tonight.

For those celebrating it, I hope every one has a very merry Christmas. To my friends that both play and read this thread, I am very happy to have shared this story with you so far over the past year or so, and I look forward to continuing these adventures as we move forward.  :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Looks like we need Venn and Nan to post in this round of the skill challenge yet.

The problem I've got with skill challenges is that they're usually over almost as soon as they begin. They're laid out like encounters, but they only last one, maybe two rounds. Then again, Dunor's not especially skilled in social matters.  :P

I find that true as well. While the are laid out like combat encounters the round could last much longer that a 6 second combat round. It is more relative to what you are doing. A social encounter's round could be a few minutes or hours depending on what it's for. While a skill challenge integrated with a combat encounter would be 6 seconds long per round.

Been off for the last week, so I have been busying myself with putting together some more of the maps I need for the encounters we are going to be seeing soon. One of the main problems with using maps out of the modules is that they usually have numbers and other DM type stuff on them too. So I have to through and mask all of that stuff out.

I have one encounter that may or may not happen that I had to create a map for. Hope you guys like it (if you even get to see it for that encounter). I may just post it anyway if you guys skip over it.
