Something to add to what I was talking about earlier. One of the interesting things that separates 4e from other editions is the mind set for encounter design. Most encounters in 4e are a melding of different types of enemies coupled with interesting terrain and sprinkled with some traps/hazards. So you can't use the older edition standby very often of charge in and stand toe to toe slogging through without getting into trouble. Use every advantage you can get (including your skills).

One thing needed Atanos is separate attack rolls, one for each target. Close area effect attacks require multiple attack rolls but one damage roll. This power doesn't have a damage roll but will need one attack per target.

Updated Map

Put Everyn in as a dead counter so I wouldn't have to do it in the next round when he dies from the ongoing damage.

Also I am creating some counters to represent conditions. So far I have;

Marked; Red Capital "M"
Weakened; Purple Capital "W"
Bloodied; Red blood drop

Hopefully this helps other keep track of who has what on them.

I might do some that represent on-going damage like poisoned would be a green number 5 to show ongoing poison damage. What do you think?

Alas poor Everyn, we knew him well. First PC to die (yeah he was being run as an NPC at the time) in one of my PbP games.

 :lmao Hope no one saw the map I had up for about 30 minutes earlier this evening. Forgot to put the opacity back down on the layer with the markings for the weakened ground and saved it. Whoops.

Since it attacked me don't forget that my immediate interrupt attack from Riposte goes off.

I am pretty sure the attack did not hit Dalanath as well Sk4mpE.

Nan, Did you hit the Kruthik Young at Y19 or the Kruthik Adult that was at Y21? I had thought it was the one at Y19 so you could get the flanking bonus and sneak attack damage. The one that attacked you was at Y21 and after its attack moved one square on a shift.

Sk4mpE is correct if he had hit you since it is marked by his character the damage would have been reduced.

I hit the one I was flanking, but since you didn't say which one was in which square I just assumed that things went the way that I wanted.   :P

True, but it was inferred with the Shift to Z21  :)

I will try to be clearer with monsters I cannot put names to. Well I could put names on these but that would be really long series of hisses and clicks hehe
