Some things simply should not be:
String Theory for Dummies
Quantum Physics for Dummies
Einstein for Dummies.
Seriously, if you're a "dummy", at some point, you just have to admit that some things are simply beyond your capacity to understand.

Uh, that link takes me out to an empty cart at Amazon...

And for my thing, this is slightly annoying, slightly funny, so I'm just putting it here.  Yesterday I made mac n cheese, and we were looking for the cheeses to add.  My mom pulled out a really old one that was supposedly tasty.  she opens it, and proclaims "this cheese is too hard".  I see her trying to bite a small bit.  So I grab the cheese and attempt to break off a piece of the corner.  I fail.  Instead, I bruise my thumb.  Yes, I bruised the nail of my thumb on cheese.  It felt like stone, and I'm not being hyperbolic with that statement.

Hey guys, did anyone see where I put that brick of yellowed marble?  I had to hide it in a house somewhere....
Mudada.

Oops!  Well, that was embarrassing. :blush
Try this, this, and this.
Also fixed the previous post. (which, in retrospect, was LoL-worthy itself)

So here I am watching a Super Best Friends LP video (Rule of Rose part 9), and around 13 or so minutes in, I suddenly can't stop laughing.  Matt googled "colon" for some reference for a joke, and instead found chat threads of women who cannot spell "cologne", talking about how great their boyfriends' colon smell ...
What do I win?
An awesome-five for mentioning Penny Arcade's On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.

Compilation of all kills in god's name listed in the bible. I suspect churches would have more people nowadays if those passages were read by the priests more often. Also would make some nice action movies. :P

Trivia, bloodthirsty warlord Gandhi first happened because of a bug. He would actually start with zero agression, which meant that if you did something-anything that would lower that stat, there would be an underflow error and his agression would change to max. The devs considered that so funny that they never fixed it.

Facebook discussion:

Image:

Whether a woman has more books than shoes is no business of yours. Nor does it mean she will be interested in you!!

To which I reply:

That is correct. What's REALLY fun is when she has more games than she has shoes.

PO'd "friend" response:

It doesn't change a fucking thing, Only the probability of her being fat, virgin and friendless rises considerably.

Prepare for BURN:

One can lose both weight and virginity AND make new friends.

I realize there is no point to 'winning' in the internet, but this still made my day.  :p

Japan is incredibly classy, no?

http://www.spoon-tamago.com/2015/01/07/he-gassen-japan-edo-period-fart-scrolls/

Keep in mind a staple character of their mythology is a shapeshifting rapist/thief who can hypnotize and/or kill people with his balls.

...You'll have to remind me which one that is.

And then there's also the fact they invented tentacle porn over 200 years ago.

Don't forget Japan's annual penis festival!

The origin of that celebration seems to be an old legend where a woman had a demon hide inside her vagina, and it would bite off the dick of anyone she tried to have sex with. Cue the woman asking a blacksmith to make her a steel dildo phallus to trick the demon into biting it and breaking its teeth, sanctifying the item in the process. After that the woman put the holy dildo artifact in a shrine and from then prostitutes would pray to it for protection against sexually transmitted diseases!

Mind you, while we're discussing this, they may be discussing why do Europe's main churches have so many muscled naked guys.

The Tanuki, I think.
"There is happiness for those who accept their fate, there is glory for those that defy it."

"Now that everyone's so happy, this is probably a good time to tell you I ate your parents."

If that's the case, bhu is forgetting about them being able to wrap people in its balls.

To be clear, most of the "muscled naked guys" are not church related.  As in, aren't in churches.  The only one I know of that features frequently is Jesus, and usually he's covered, and that's only in catholic places.  Most of the other art is from seculars like Michelangelo, and in places that aren't really worship centered, but aristocratic centered.  Most cathedrals, on the other hand, have no human likenesses.  They have gargoyles in France, and maybe some scenes in the glass, but not human likeness statues, and none of the statues are part of any ceremonies.
