so, i found a 93 ford explore at a car dealership's website last night and this morning i went to go and see what the price and other info about it,since it wasn't listed. Turns out they want twenty-five thousand b( or he might have said twenty-five hundred and i didn't understand him right)  for it. Iy only has 89K miles on it and also turns out that I can't even get financing for it due to the fact that my sole income is social security  :banghead

25K is absolute bs for a car that old.  Where do you live?  Maybe we can find you a nice car auction.  You might want to also look up sheriff and police auctions, they sometimes sell off cars.

The guy running Iron Chef over on GitP is pretty unreliable. I mean, he does a really good job... but there's been a lot of schedule slip over his tenure.

This galls me to no end.

I just had a bout of apathy that led me to ignore all of my email, forums, friends, college stuff, pretty much everything not necessary for survival for a couple months... I'm back now!

I guess it's not really a rant because I don't care about it? But... eugh. Anyways.

Double-post because  :banghead

I hate how my RL group seems to think that RP can only happen at low level situations. No. You can have a character at any power level that can be portrayed effectively and be a good character!  :shakefist

I just watched the third Rebuild of Evangelion movie, and... I'm not impressed in the least. There's so much stuff that wasn't explored and so many plot holes it isn't funny. At times i felt the story was going on a good direction, and at times i thought the original did it much better. I felt like they missed just as often as they got it right and the whole series so far isn't faring much better than the original. In fact, the original so far seems better to me, even if the ending was extremely abstract... The third movie also seemed too short in comparison to the first two, and the gap between second and third movie is way too big. 14 years? And we get about zero information regarding everything between second and third movie. I'm so disappointed. So disappointed. I thought the high praise and ratings were indicative of much better quality than what was actually delivered.

Disappointment seems to be Evangelion's brand identity.

I hate how my RL group seems to think that RP can only happen at low level situations. No. You can have a character at any power level that can be portrayed effectively and be a good character!  :shakefist
This has been a kind of naive point brought up by gamers perennially.  And, it's dumb.  My only suggestion is to either run or play some high level adventures b/c I doubt logic will get through to them.

I suspect the deeper roots of it are that they perceive high level characters as utterly invincible and unassailable.  And, without any risk there is no drama.  But, that's obviously not the case -- there are mighty foes and challenges out there, and there are also tons of classic stories (e.g., Hercules, just to pick one super powered dude out of a hat) where super powerful characters get knocked around and high drama.
