Hey now, I whittled it down to two options. :P

Actually, with that kind of description I'm narrowing it down to one.

Fiendyish Requirement x/ Energy Warrior y  - Uses the power of fiendish/thoon (haven't fully settled on the flavor yet) technology to defeat the mind flayers.  Ranged damage with some utility.

I've narrowed it down to one: unleash the full power of giant magical lasers. :D

Madness. It's all about the spreading insanity.

Which makes sense - if your goal is to spark a revolution against all-powerful mind-reading overlords, don't you need to be crazy? And to have a few crazy people?

So the Allip (I am still working on a good name) isn't about killing Illithid and Elder Brains as much as he's about convincing slaves to get violent. And perhaps encouraging some necromancy on the side. And occasionally putting an Elderbrain into a coma through Wisdom drain.

I'm excited - not only do I have a chance to play a cuckoolander, I get to play an evil cuckoolander. Who babbles!

My main concern with the character is filling up all my feat slots. Also spellbook redundancy.

Well, and working out how to not blow up the entire party.

Well, there seems to be a significant amount of interest, and I'm in a good mood, so let's make this happen.

Will try to answer the relevant questions piled over the last pages, if I missed anything important let me know.

Almost all of Oslecamo's games have the same basic parameters:
32 point buy
2 flaws, 1 trait (SRD only)
Standard WBL
HP are max at first level, then either average or rolled (not a combo of both)
Just about all 3.X published material is ok, Homebrew is ok but must be reviewed by the DM
Correct.

So does targeting happen before the spell, or is it a coherent part of the spell? There isn't any action involved when it happens (so I guess it's a free action), so there aren't really existing rules to slot it in. Also, I pity the enemy that tries to use mindsight on me.  :D

Guess I'm glad I didn't take mindsight, then! I figured someone on the team would take it; with so many fiends, I can't be the only one with telepathy. I'm not sure whether it would affect me or not. Technically, I'm not "immune" to it outright. I'm treated as though I were an object. Since an object has no wisdom score, I imagine it can't take Wisdom drain. Actually, I think the thing that keeps me safe is that the ability says, "At 10 HD, even creatures normally immune to Wisdom drain still suffer from the Allip's Madness ability, but at a reduced effect.  The Wisdom drain from either use of the Madness ability is halved for such creatures."
Thus, where an Undead or Construct is normally immune, they are still creatures and thus are subject to the ability. A brick wall is not a creature, and is not subject to the ability. Though I am a creature, I am treated as an object and not a creature, and therefore I believe I would not be subject to the effect.

I'm feat-starved enough as it is, though. :P
Just to clarify, I consider that immunity to mind-affecting is enough to stop mindsight.

on the Eternal Royal. As I assume the forbidden school doesn't count into the 2 schools of maneuvers allowed by the class (is that correct?), what other school would you recommend as secondary?
You still need to pick the Forbidden School feat and have the parent school, but you still get another base non-related school yes.

I don't think Os is going to let you get a feat-restricted maneuver on an item.
Well nothing in Forbidden School disallows creating items or from using Martial Study to select it. :p

Initiating the countdown. Ditto for making sure Ancient Temple doesn't allow it. :P
Clarified that Forbidden schools can only be used if you took the feat. Ancient Temple is trickier to abuse because it only works with Youkai-Forged blades, and you can only get those from the feat.

QUESTION FOR OSLECAMO

What's your stance on alternate bonus types for ability score boosting wondrous items at x2 the price as per DMG's creating magic items rules? :p
I'll rule ok but said item must take a body slot, and cannot be combined with other items.

Or just custom magic items in general?  :huh
Case by case basis.

Edit: My pythoondragon is turning into the hulk and I desire to destroy every piece of constructed scenery, and especially thoon constructs <3, so much.
Does Os have much of a problem with Involuntary Rage & Pain Mastery bonuses stacking forever until I die?
The bonus reset at the start of combat (since by definition for a new combat to start the previous needs to have ended).

Soro_Lost:
If you want a custom item of legacy, you'll have to run it through me. Most wotc "custom" design systems are filled with plenty of holes.

Ooh, since your answering questions now: When doing my first trawl through your stuff, I believe I saw something that said you can get incorporeal equipment for 10% over list price, but now I can't find it.

Is that correct?

Yes, it's actually based on an equal rule from a splatbook, it however gets mentioned only in some of the ethereal monster classes.

Good, good. Because I'm a dumb person who it totally okay with spending ALL my WBL on nothing but Stat boosts to a single stat -_-' (sometimes) /notevenkidding

That is perfect and so much better than having the bonuses poof at the end of combat because I'd die after first fight like that  :lmao
It also makes me not have to worry as much about needing a custom item or several to avoid dying when all my temp Con boosts disappear -_-'

~DONE~

Morys Jendryg, Pyrothoondragon   :cool

Barring buying an item that gave a Profane bonus to Con, my only real custom item was one that lets me Greater Plane Shift 1/day because I needed to not have to worry about needing to sleep on my Hoard for 8 hours once a week -_-'

If that is alright by you, Os.

All I lack is clever backstory to help me stand out from a crowd.
But at the same time, drawing attention is not what I want to do  :eh
Acquiring masses of Thoon Soldier constructs and eating them as a very brute force method of attempting to have somewhat of a basis for coverting around Illithidland seemed like a bright idea. And we all know fire is very bright. Yes, yes, clever ketaro...clever...
Assimilation of Mind-Flaying Robots also manifesting as snazzy metallic eye-gear whilst in Deceivingly Innocent Form :v
This makes entire sense!
Better yet, Thoonbots gave him the power to blend into a crowd of inconspicuous little moooortals. By actually creating a crowd of inconspicuous little moooortals. Good Thoon, clever Thoon, gives us power Thoon.
The mechanical bits maaaaaay be crossing wires with his normal thought processes  :rolleyes

Oh jeebus I've been at this for hours. Time for sleep cause WORK  :banghead

I am such a glass cannon.

On the plus side, I have +13 to anything I don't have skill ranks in, but can use skills as if I do have half a rank in them. So... I can try and do basically anything? :lmao

The strange upshot is that, in a skill I use my int mod for anyway, I'm better off having no actual ranks in it if I'd have less than thirteen. So now I need to pick 16 languages. :D

EDIT: Mostly mechanically done. Need to work out the enchantments on their spellbook a bit better, I guess, and pick up a bunch of tools for opening things. Otherwise... behold! Magical nuke! Skill monkey! Very little HP or ways to reduce damage!

And seeing the feat is required I'm changing the build a hair to include Swordsage. I really do like that clean kill. :)

I don't have mindblank either. I don't even have anything like your nifty cloak. Just moving and trying to explode EVERYTHING. :P

Ah, question answering!  A very important question that will heavily influence the flavor/backstory of my Abishai Ur-Priest:

You had said in the OP that many deities had lost power/died from lack of worship and assaults by Thoon.  Is Tiamat one of the dead gods, and can I then use the "dead god" adaptation of Ur-Priest?

Otherwise I'll just be a god-hating ur-priest (probably hated/hunted by Tiamat's minions...)

Mind Blank is a double-edged sword. You give up Moral Bonuses which affect everything from Saves, Damage, to Ability Scores. Some times the lack of it is useful.

But I have everything form Darkstalker, Ring of Darkhidden, Detection, Magic Aura negating auras on my gear, Shirt of Waithstalking (see my light but not me? ok), and Mind Blank in an attempt to remain hidden per theme. If there was a way to hide from Touchsight I'd grab that too.

Anyway, if we have any Arcane Spellcaster in the group that's willing, Empyreal Ecstasy gives the party immunity to Mind-Affecting without negating bonuses that are already in place. Oh, and the party only takes half damage from melee/ranged attacks. Bards really get some amazing Spells.

Wrong spell-list for me. And I don't really have the slots for short-term buffs.

Besides, BoED?
