"We heard a commotion inside and saw some chicken lizards running amok in there. We trapped them under cages and heard some crashing upstairs. Some odd red reptilian creature was animating furniture to attack us and flew off.

I'm not really sure the cause of any of this, but the creature seemed like it could have been more startled than hostile."

Yylris mentioned the "chicken lizards", but IIRC, his Knowledge check wasn't good enough for him to identify them, so that's probably all he can say.
