his proposed deconstruction was interesting, regarding natural spell and quicken, he notes that from a design perspective they are limited to and only apply to specific classes, as opposed skill focus which can be used by everyone. also, in the case of quicken, it is limited by what level one is in addition to class. however, i think that while that is one valid viewpoint, the end result upon the game of said feats also needs to be taken into consideration. for example, skill focus on climb or jump = not much. skill focus on bluff or diplomacy = noticeable effect. skill focus on UMD = very noticeable to huge effect. quicken spell = huge effect. natural spell = huge effect. and so on.
He loves spellcasters and hates melee people, doesn't he?
I just showed your link to my Group Power Gamer. She said it was broken. SHE SAID IT WAS BROKEN. I mean, crap. That right there says it all. The follow up was basically:
Why make things complicated? Either make weak feats stronger or strong feats weaker. The more math to add, the more is annoys people. Do you think it's FUN keeping track of 18 pages of Character? I don't want to add MORE math that I need to keep track of.
And the party In-it-for-the-LOLZ said, "I could murder the crap out of the tarrasque at those prices."
Personally, I rate it:
