Is there the possibility of parties interacting with/ possibly fighting each other?

Yes, though relatively slim.  Mostly if you go up against another team, it'll be an NPC team.  But it's possible.

Being of the ability to cast third level spells, and being an upstanding member of PA (which you have no proof of!), I thought it best to have an official focus.

Ah.  You have one, then.  Don't worry about the cost.

So, do spellshapers need a focus? They don't normally need any material components or a focus, and it's still an unusual sort of magic compared to the normal casting.

He said no earlier in another thread IIRC.

Can I take the magic-blooded template on my character (+2 cha, -2 wis, changes favored class to sorcerer). He technically doesn't qualify for it, due to racial restrictions, but... what the hell. If it's balanced for one race, it should be OK for all, right?

Does it actually grant what's listed here? I don't actually have that copy of Dragon.

Quote
Magic-Blooded Template:

Ability Adjustments: +2 Charisma, -2 Wisdom
Vision: low light
Skills: +2 Knowledge (arcana), +2 Spellcraft, Both usable untrained.
Spell-Like abilities: Detect magic, Nystul's Magical Aura, Nystul's Undetectable aura, and read magic 1/day (CL=Character Level)
Favored Class: Sorcerer

That actually seems slightly too good for LA +0.

Yes it does provide that.  It also removes any existent low-light vision you have.  IIRC Nystal's undetectable aura doesn't exist and has been rolled into magic aura.

And yes, it is quite good and kinda points out the problem with the LA system in that it probably isn't good enough for +1 LA (since that basically has to be as good as a class level) but is probably too good for +0.

According to the PDF from Crystal Keep, any special vision is changed to Low-light, including if you normally have Darkvision. So it's a boost to creatures without special vision, but a drawback for those with better vision. The SLA's are rarely used in most cases, and even so they're only 1/day.

Yeah, all I care about is the +2 to Cha to boost the DCs of my formulae and breath weapon. Detect Magic is nice, but of course a fully charged wand only costs 325 gp.

I'm okay with Magic-Blooded.  It's essentially Magic-Oiled for you.  Think the Tin Man meets Johnny 5 meets Spaceballs the Flamethrower.

(I have no idea what that means, but damn it's awesome.)

btw did I ever get a ruling on Command? I forgot >.<

Command (named armor enhancement) was originally printed as a +2 ability that gives a +4 competence bonus to charisma checks and charisma, also -6 to hide. Subsecent reprints are wildly vary. I know there are at least two that are +1 based with no bonus to charisma it's self. There is also a +3 version that only gives +2 for it's bonuses but it affects your Leadership score in FR:DoF. That's at least three significantly different versions of this thing where the only shared trait is bonuses to Charisma-stuff. I'm obviously after the one that gives bonuses directly to Charisma...

Also, Hidden Talent from CPsi fine?

Hidden Talent is fine.  I don't remember you asking about this, so I'm sorry I missed it.  Do you have the original source of Command?

It also only provides a +2 bonus to Charisma checks, rather than your Charisma.

"competence bonus on all Charisma checks, including turning checks and Charisma-based skill checks."

He said there are a bunch of other versions. I don't doubt that one of them which was written so poorly that it said it added to Charisma.  :D

My Google-Fu says the original is Defenders of the Faith (+4 competence bonus to Charisma) with a reprint in A&EG (+2 to Cha skill/ability checks)

When dealing with 3.0 equipment, I consider A&EG primary source but that's just my opinion. :)
Hmm.

Isn't Command printed as an armor property in MIC? If that's the case, that would be the most recent revision, of course.
