Dalanath nods in approval upon seeing his brother has been taken care of properly.  He then spots signs of a struggle and looks around warily.

Dunor lifts his hammer, cautious for signs of danger. Whispering to Dalanath, he asks, "Do you think this is recent, or might this have happened before the raid?"

He inspects the room somewhat more closely.

Dalanath shakes his head and whispers back,  "I do not know, the raid itself was fairly recent.  Why would someone who wasn't a raider disturb a church?"

Dunor inspects his findings. "Hmm, there was definitely a struggle here of some sort. I've found a symbol, probably of the church, and some torn cloth with some paint or dye... or is it blood? I cannot tell. What does this mean?"

Dalanath looks at Dunor's findings and becomes concerned.  "Something is wrong here.  I'm going to see if I can find a priest."  Dalanath then proceeds to do so.

The temple is a small one, with a pair of rooms off the sanctuary. The first room you peer into through the ajar door doesn't look to have been used in some time. The moonlight streaming through the windows show a bare sleeping pallet, empty shelves and a cleared well worn desk.

The next room is in total chaos. The bed is overturned and an emptied wardrobes contents have been carelessly strewn on the floor around it. Books ripped from the shelves along with several unimportant looking religious implements.

Dunor furrows his brow. "I agree, this does not seem to be as simple as the raiding outside. Do you remember seeing any of the priests outside?"

Then he remembers something the elderly couple mentioned.

"That couple who aided us earlier mentioned someone named 'Jalissa' and said she might be here. I assume she must be a priestess here. No one else seems to be around, though, and that is troubling."

Finding a place to rest is not too difficult, though inn vacancies appear to be scarce. You find you rest where you can and awaken to another bright day and the sun already raising the temperature uncomfortably.

The sounds of a town awakening rise around you and soon you can here construction efforts already beginning in spots. Not far from the market square, most of you see laborers at work clearing out the burnt rubble from the taproom of the Green Tankard as you pass. The fat halfling proprietor sweating under a shade tree directing some of the work. He nods as you pass, appreciation clear on his chubby face.

You all eventually gather in Loudwater's market square, the agreed upon spot.

Everyn sits on a bench a thick bound book in his lap. He pays little head to it though, with his eyes closed he is letting himself feel a warm breeze blow across him.  He opens his eyes greets each the three Storm Wolves as they approach, "Well met, very good to see you again. I hope you found some rest before this morning." and as his original companions arrive, "And where did you two end up last night?"

Søffå enters into view, weary-eyed.  "Aye, Everyn.  I have been helping the city-folk for most of the evening, and a good part of this morning as well.  Did manage a..." * YAWN * "...few hours of rest..."  looking to his new companions, he gives a quick nod and immediately sits down, collapsing on the nearest bench.  Looking up to the sky with his eyes closed, we mumbles wearily:  "...Any news?  I fear there was more rumor than fact going about last evening."

"I have let most of the morning hours slip past in quiet reverie my friend, I have not sought to talk to anyone yet. I am just happy we made it through the night." Everyn admits.

"Agreed.  I am really not sure what to make of it all, the Red Fist, everything..." Søffå sleepily trails off a bit before continuing:  "What was that name the barkeep kept mentioning last evening?  ...Ah, I remember now, Lady Moonfire.  Perhaps now would be an apt time to call on her for council."

Søffå seems to awaken slightly, then stands.  "Actually, I think I will do just that.  I might also look around the rest of the town while walking, and get a sense of how things look by the light of day.  First off," Motioning towards the remains of the Green Tankard, "I would start by speaking with Marsh, our unfortunate inn-master friend from last evening."

"I would gladly welcome company, and you lot have more than shown your worth - Anyone care to join?"

Dunor has been casting his glances off to the distance for the duration of the conversation. Something seems to be gnawing at his mind, which is not surprising considering the recent circumstances.

He looks back at his new companions. "Hmm, yes, that would be wise. I would like to show you our findings at the temple from last night, though. We found signs of a struggle in the main chamber, including this holy symbol on a broken chain and a patch of cloth with red paint or dye.... or perhaps blood? Besides that, one of the bedchambers had been torn through. Someone had obviously been looking for something. It did not seem directly related to the raid."

"Which temple was this?"  Søffå carefully examines the artifacts in Dunor's hand, trying to determine if he recognizes the symbol from his studies; recalling the standard taken from the Tankard the evening prior, he also tries to guess if the red in the cloth is blood, or dye similar to the stolen banner:

Dalanath speaks up.  "It was a temple of Selune."
